In The Truth

In the truth what does it mean? Well, it has many meaning to each Christian's today there are religious groups who often use this terminology which has little connection in how Christ and his apostles used it. The word “in” has a definite meaning in most languages, we can be in our car, in our house, in a religion, in a certain political group, and so on. . .

3 John 1:4 I have no greater joy than this, to hear about my children walking in truth.

So rather then an abstract meaning of the word “in” that many religious people assign to the word “in” it most definitely has a real meaning when we say we are in our bed, in the shower, in the store.

Moreover, the idea of being in the truth is very subjective term now days when we find so few religion living the truth when watching their actions, that is, they show us by action their real fruit they produce by claiming to teach the truth.

We are to know the fruit of false prophets, which can be and entire religion; how is that? Simply put, if a religion prophecy as one, i.e., a group, and makes it prophecy mandatory for all members to accept, and they must teach that prophecy as truth, the entire religion has become a composite false prophet when the prophecy fails to come truth.

Matt.7:15 "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves.
7:16 By their fruits you will know them. Do you gather grapes from thorns, or figs from thistles?

Exodus 24:3 Moses came and told the people all the words of Yahweh, and all the ordinances; and all the people answered with one voice, and said, "All the words which Yahweh has spoken will we do."

Acts 19:34 But when they perceived that he was a Jew, all with one voice for a time of about two hours cried out, "Great is Artemis of the Ephesians!"

Were they in the truth, or in the lie? So we understand the word truth is thrown about by just about every human being on earth, but is their truth the truth? Simply put, its not words that make something the truth, it not a saying repeated like a parrot “in the truth”, it is rather truth proven by its fruits (actions), not the other way around.

John 10:37 If I don't do the works of my Father, don't believe me. 10:38 But if I do them, though you don't believe me, believe the works; that you may know and believe that the Father is in me, and I in the Father."

John 14:10 Don't you believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words that I tell you, I speak not from myself; but the Father who lives in me does his works.

John 14:12 Most certainly I tell you, he who believes in me, the works that I do, he will do also; and he will do greater works than these, because I am going to my Father.

John 15:24 If I hadn't done among them the works which no one else did, they wouldn't have had sin. But now have they seen and also hated both me and my Father.

God's Standard of Truth

If we are a Christian reading our bibles it is very clear what God says is his truth, but first let us acknowledge something that many Christian's overlook when applying the words being in the truth to their religion and its doctrine.

Have you noted in your bible that before Christ for many thousand's of years of God's faithful prophets, judges, kings, that we don't find the terminology “in the truth”, it is absent from the Hebrew writings, but why?

David, Moses, or Daniel never utter the words “in the truth” were they not in the truth? They were God's chosen people given the law and holy writings from God, were they not in the truth?

John 8:32 You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free."{Psalm 119:45}

Subsequently, if God's chosen people were not in the truth why would a person in a religion boast of being in the truth repeating a slogan that has little or no meaning to anyone but their group?

John 3:21 But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his works may be revealed, that they have been done in God."

God's standard of truth is not ambiguous at all it is plainly and forthright stated time and again in our bibles once Christ came to earth and died for our sins. God standard of where his truth is found was “in Christ Jesus” for Christian's, so are we “in Christ Jesus” our truth or in our religion as the truth? Well, lets make this simple, let us draw a distinction between truth and the lie.

John 1:14 The Word became flesh, and lived among us. We saw his glory, such glory as of the one and only Son of the Father, full of grace and truth.

John 1:17 For the law was given through Moses. Grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

What was the fruits of Christ when he tells us plainly that he is the truth and the way? What were his fruits, were they the works of God, did any of his works prove to be a lie?

Titus 1:2 in hope of eternal life, which God, who can't lie, promised before time began;

John 3:35 The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into his hand.

Now please ask the same question of our religion, ourselves, a minister, a book, anyone or anything under the Sun? No! We can't look at the fruits and say it proves they are from God who never lies, or produce evil fruit. The truth is not about human's, and what they build, produce, or teach, its about one place God tells we must seek the his truth in? Christ Jesus.

John 1:18 No one has seen God at any time. The one and only Son,{NU reads "God"} who is in the bosom of the Father, he has declared him.

John 8:46 Which of you convicts me of sin? If I tell the truth, why do you not believe me?

John 14:6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.

In Christ

Have you noted in your bibles that the prophets, the kings, and judges never said they were “in Christ”? Yet, that terminology was a standard of truth after Christ was resurrect into heaven and made alive by God. So one is intimately tied to the others, to be in Christ is to be in the truth. In other words, if it were just an abstract thought like so many Christian's believe now days then why such a demarcation between the God's people before Christ, and the apostles who constantly ussed the thought of being in Christ would not exist?

1 John 1:5 This is the message which we have heard from him and announce to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

1 John 2:8 Again, I write a new commandment to you, which is true in him and in you; because the darkness is passing away, and the true light already shines.

In Christ is the substance of all truth for Christian's it is signally the most important thing God has done for his people on earth ever! It is the whole restoration of truth, the oneness with God that has ever been done on earth by God since Christ was sent to this earth for us. It was the very thing that defeated Satan, it striped all humans governments and religious power Satan from enslaving his people and polluting, controlling, and doling, out the truth for payment for a works of law done to support their empire over mankind.

Col. 2:6 As therefore you received Christ Jesus, the Lord, walk in him, 2:7 rooted and built up in him, and established in the faith, even as you were taught, abounding in it in thanksgiving.
2:8 Be careful that you don't let anyone rob you through his philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the elements of the world, and not after Christ.
2:9 For in him all the fullness of the Godhead dwells bodily,
2:10 and in him you are made full, who is the head of all principality and power;

Col. 2:13 You were dead through your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh. He made you alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses,
2:14 wiping out the handwriting in ordinances which was against us; and he has taken it out of the way, nailing it to the cross;
2:15 having stripped the principalities and the powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
2:16 Let no man therefore judge you in eating, or in drinking, or with respect to a feast day or a new moon or a Sabbath day,
2:17 which are a shadow of the things to come; but the body is Christ's.
2:18 Let no one rob you of your prize by a voluntary humility and worshipping of the angels, dwelling in the things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
2:19 and not holding firmly to the Head, from whom all the body, being supplied and knit together through the joints and ligaments, grows with God's growth.
2:20 If you died with Christ from the elements of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to ordinances,
2:21 "Don't handle, nor taste, nor touch"

Plainly and forthrightly God stated to all dwelling on earth that upon the resurrection and glorification of his Son Christ Jesus the truth could no longer be lost to his children, it was safely reserved stored in heaven as treasure found in his Son Christ Jesus the truth. The truth of Christ is so hidden from the flesh that we are told without any ambiguous terms that the flesh of mankind, that is, our sinful flesh and its thinking cannot even know God, let alone the truth of God. That it would require God giving us his Spirit to even know the truth found in Christ, it would be the Spirit of God that would search the deep things of God that such truth's would be absolutely foolish to the flesh, and its worldly wisdom, it could not hear the Spirit, or know the things of God.

Heb.1:1 God, having in the past spoken to the fathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways,
1:2 has at the end of these days spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom also he made the worlds.
1:3 His Son is the radiance of his glory, the very image of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself made purification for our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; 1:4 having become so much better than the angels, as he has inherited a more excellent name than they have. 1:5 For to which of the angels did he say at any time, "You are my Son. Today have I become your father?"{Psalm 2:7} and again, "I will be to him a Father, and he will be to me a Son?"{2 Samuel 7:14; 1 Chronicles 17:13} 1:6 Again, when he brings in the firstborn into the world he says, "Let all the angels of God worship him." 1:7 Of the angels he says, "Who makes his angels winds, and his servants a flame of fire."{Psalm 104:4}

1Cor. 2:6 We speak wisdom, however, among those who are full grown; yet a wisdom not of this world, nor of the rulers of this world, who are coming to nothing.
2:7 But we speak God's wisdom in a mystery, the wisdom that has been hidden, which God foreordained before the worlds for our glory,
2:8 which none of the rulers of this world has known. For had they known it, they wouldn't have crucified the Lord of glory.
2:9 But as it is written, "Things which an eye didn't see, and an ear didn't hear, which didn't enter into the heart of man, these God has prepared for those who love him."{Isaiah 64:4}
2:10 But to us, God revealed them through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.
2:11 For who among men knows the things of a man, except the spirit of the man, which is in him? Even so, no one knows the things of God, except God's Spirit.
2:12 But we received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is from God, that we might know the things that were freely given to us by God.
2:13 Which things also we speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual things. 2:14 Now the natural man doesn't receive the things of God's Spirit, for they are foolishness to him, and he can't know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
2:15 But he who is spiritual discerns all things, and he himself is judged by no one. 2:16 "For who has known the mind of the Lord, that he should instruct him?"{Isaiah 40:13} But we have Christ's mind.

The truth cannot be stolen by humans in all their wisdom, they cannot go up into heaven to bring Christ down, or go down into the earth and boast of resurrecting the Christ by their works or knowledge. So why would they boast as if the truth depends upon them?

Rom.10:6 But the righteousness which is of faith says this, "Don't say in your heart, 'Who will ascend into heaven?'{Deuteronomy 30:12} (that is, to bring Christ down);
10:7 or, 'Who will descend into the abyss?'{Deuteronomy 30:13} (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead.)"
10:8 But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth, and in your heart;"{Deuteronomy 30:14} that is, the word of faith, which we preach:
10:9 that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
10:10 For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
10:11 For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed."{Isaiah 28:16}
10:12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, and is rich to all who call on him.
10:13 For, "Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved."{Joel 2:32}

Sinless Truth

Truth of God is without sin that means what? It means the works of God is without sin, so the truth of God cannot produce sin and be called truth, or the fruits of God, that is why God sent his Son Christ Jesus so we could see the light of truth without sin. That is why there is only one true prophet for Christian's not many? One true prophet and all us members of that body by Spirit. Thus, we cannot be a sinner and be in something sinless without corrupting the righteousness of God, that is, his temple, Christ Jesus.

1 John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

1 John 3:5 You know that he was revealed to take away our sins, and in him is no sin.

1 John 3:6 Whoever remains in him doesn't sin. Whoever sins hasn't seen him, neither knows him.

So we must understand we receive all things pertaining to life in the life of the one God calls truth, because his works are works of God, that is, life. We cannot be separated from Christ the truth and think we can speak truth. This error has caused a field of weeds, and yeast that has corrupted the very foundation stones of Christ and his teachings. Where one actually thinks they can by self effort unlock truth of God, they actually are stating in so many words wittingly or unwittingly who and what should be placed in God's temple not even understanding that it not teachings or human efforts that places one in the temple of God, it is the life of Christ that God has authorized to bring one into the holy temple of God.

Romans 15:17 I have therefore my boasting in Christ Jesus in things pertaining to God.

1 Corinthians 5:6 Your boasting is not good. Don't you know that a little yeast leavens the whole lump?

1Cor.3:16 Don't you know that you are a temple of God, and that God's Spirit lives in you? 3:17 If anyone destroys the temple of God, God will destroy him; for God's temple is holy, which you are.
3:18 Let no one deceive himself. If anyone thinks that he is wise among you in this world, let him become a fool, that he may become wise.

Sinless truth is Christ, his life, given us, because we are dead in our flesh in sin, we are made dead by God's undeserved kindness to our deserved judgment that Christ righteousness (his life( is a gift given to us freeing us from sin so we can received the Spirit of truth from Christ the head of his body. We must be in Christ, to have the truth, Christ is as our head (our new mind). In that truth we are taught by God's Holy Spirit. There is no other tree we can receive the truth from. No other vine, or source of truth in all the world found in darkness and corruption to the power of sinful flesh.

Romans 12:2 Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God.

Romans 12:16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Don't set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Don't be wise in your own conceits.

1 Corinthians 1:10 Now I beg you, brothers,{The word for "brothers" here and where context allows may also be correctly translated "brothers and sisters" or "siblings."} through the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfected together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

1 Corinthians 2:16 "For who has known the mind of the Lord, that he should instruct him?"{Isaiah 40:13} But we have Christ's mind.
In Christ is not just a good thought when we are in Christ we are given his life indwelling us as God's righteousness that washes us clean as part of God's temple where the truth is taught without the lie of the fallen flesh which is clearly told us cannot know the things of God, or please God. If we are in a religion, we are not in the truth, if we think studying the bible makes us in the truth than we are mislead, and our works will be judged not against other flesh (the approve of men in our religion) that we so often think is God's judgment. No! We have been told by Christ and God we will be judged against the truth of God,, which is, Christ Jesus. Is Christ judging us or forgiving us, and has freely forgiven us, then why go into captivity of sin to please men?

James 2:12 So speak, and so do, as men who are to be judged by a law of freedom.

1 Peter 2:16 as free, and not using your freedom for a cloak of wickedness, but as bondservants of God.

Galatians 5:13 For you, brothers, were called for freedom. Only don't use your freedom for gain to the flesh, but through love be servants to one another.

Philippians 3:3 For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh;

Romans 8:8 Those who are in the flesh can't please God.

Romans 8:9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if it is so that the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if any man doesn't have the Spirit of Christ, he is not his.

Romans 8:12 So then, brothers, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.

We can say all we want, look at all the good works I've done for you Father, look at all the time a spent studying and researching the bible to find the truth for you, look at the powerful works I have done unearthing the truth for others.

Yet, we are told, don't be fool I don't know you get away from me you workers of lawlessness, that is, workers of sin. No Christ does not acknowledge anyone as his body members unless his Father gives Christ those body members made righteous by Christ life. If we are not in Christ, Christ does not know us, and certainly not our works which cannot be God's works.

1 John 5:18 We know that whoever is born of God doesn't sin, but he who was born of God keeps himself, and the evil one doesn't touch him.

1 John 3:4 Everyone who sins also commits lawlessness. Sin is lawlessness.

Matt.7:16 By their fruits you will know them. Do you gather grapes from thorns, or figs from thistles?
7:17 Even so, every good tree produces good fruit; but the corrupt tree produces evil fruit. 7:18 A good tree can't produce evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree produce good fruit.
7:19 Every tree that doesn't grow good fruit is cut down, and thrown into the fire. 7:20 Therefore, by their fruits you will know them. 7:21 Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 7:22 Many will tell me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, didn't we prophesy in your name, in your name cast out demons, and in your name do many mighty works?' 7:23 Then I will tell them, 'I never knew you. Depart from me, you who work iniquity.'

We are told to search for truth no where else but in Christ, don't be fooled, we are told where the truth is, and promised by God he would use us in Christ to do the works of his Spirit, but no where else. We cannot boast as a body member in Christ as do those telling Christ about all their works when he comes, we cannot boast at all in our works that should be dead in our flesh. No! We can only boast in Christ, because all that is in Christ belongs not to us, our hard works, but God, in his Spirit works found in truth, don't be fooled!

Matt.7:24 "Everyone therefore who hears these words of mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man, who built his house on a rock. 7:25 The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat on that house; and it didn't fall, for it was founded on the rock. 7:26 Everyone who hears these words of mine, and doesn't do them will be like a foolish man, who built his house on the sand. 7:27 The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat on that house; and it fell--and great was its fall."
7:28 It happened, when Jesus had finished saying these things, that the multitudes were astonished at his teaching, 7:29 for he taught them with authority, and not like the scribes.

1Cor. 3:11 For no one can lay any other foundation than that which has been laid, which is Jesus Christ. 3:12 But if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay, or stubble;
3:13 each man's work will be revealed. For the Day will declare it, because it is revealed in fire; and the fire itself will test what sort of work each man's work is. 3:14 If any man's work remains which he built on it, he will receive a reward. 3:15 If any man's work is burned, he will suffer loss, but he himself will be saved, but as through fire. 3:16 Don't you know that you are a temple of God, and that God's Spirit lives in you?

Hebrews 4:10 For he who has entered into his rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from his.

Hebrews 6:1 Therefore leaving the doctrine of the first principles of Christ, let us press on to perfection--not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works, of faith toward God,

Hebrews 9:14 how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

Hebrews 10:24 Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works.

John.15:1 "I am the true vine, and my Father is the farmer.
15:2 Every branch in me that doesn't bear fruit, he takes away. Every branch that bears fruit, he prunes, that it may bear more fruit. 15:3 You are already pruned clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. 15:4 Remain in me, and I in you. As the branch can't bear fruit by itself, unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you, unless you remain in me. 15:5 I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.

Romans 11:6 And if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, it is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work.
