**** Heb.4:1 Let us fear therefore, lest perhaps anyone of you should seem to have come short of a promise of entering into his rest.

Can our fallen flesh enter into God's rest? Moreover, is it a sin if we cannot rest in Christ in our flesh? But if we legalize that statement as religion does we would say: “ you better work very hard in your flesh to please God!”

John 1:13 who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

John 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh. That which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

But that was not a trick question? The question was can we enter into God's rest in our fallen flesh? The simple truth is, no! Furthermore, if we read our bible untainted by religious doctrine we will find clearly defined for us that our sinful flesh is dead to God's judgment. Moreover, that we cannot please God in our flesh. However, how many of us truly believe that, lets be honest? The flesh cannot rest it is impossible according to God's word, it cannot be in subjection to God or his laws, so how can something rest if it cannot be in subjection to God?

John 6:63 It is the spirit who gives life. The flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and are life.

John 8:15 You judge according to the flesh. I judge no one.

Romans 8:7 because the mind of the flesh is hostile towards God; for it is not subject to God's law, neither indeed can it be.

Romans 8:8 Those who are in the flesh can't please God.

Do we fear that we are not truly resting in Spirit and truth? You see that is the real question in the book of Hebrews for those seeking the truth of God's message within? Who are we resting in, a fleshly person, or Christ Jesus, a living spirit being made incorruptible by his Father Jehovah? And is we cannot rest in our flesh, than how do we rest in Christ the spirit person? First, let it be noted, rest, is the absent of labor is it not? So who's labor are we resting from? Simple put, in context to the book of Hebrew itself it is from works of law done by our flesh under God's righteous law given to Israel through Moses.

Hebrews 4:10 For he who has entered into his rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from his.

Hebrews 6:1 Therefore leaving the doctrine of the first principles of Christ, let us press on to perfection--not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works, of faith toward God.

Hebrews 9:14 how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

Romans 9:11 For being not yet born, neither having done anything good or bad, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him who calls,

Romans 9:32 Why? Because they didn't seek it by faith, but as it were by works of the law. They stumbled over the stumbling stone;

God's law cause wrath, and/or hostility towards sin of our flesh, we had no rest because the law was perfect and only a perfect person, that is, without sin was not judged by it, the law! So what did God do? He provided Israel a rest by purchasing their debt of sins against the law with innocent blood that of an animal. God's wrath would rest towards them in peace. But what would happen if lets say an Israelite thought he could be made perfect apart from the blood God provided for his sins?

Romans 4:15 For the law works wrath, for where there is no law, neither is there disobedience.

Romans 11:6 And if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, it is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work.

Galatians 3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under a curse. For it is written, "Cursed is everyone who doesn't continue in all things that are written in the book of the law, to do them."{Deuteronomy 27:26}

You, see, the law made nothing perfect. In other words, it could not remove sin by just trying to obey God's law without blood, nor could animal blood remove the sins of our flesh completely, that is, once for all times.

Hebrews 9:14 how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

Hebrews 10:1 For the law, having a shadow of the good to come, not the very image of the things, can never with the same sacrifices year by year, which they offer continually, make perfect those who draw near.

Hebrews 9:28 so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, without sin, to those who are eagerly waiting for him for salvation.

Hebrews 10:2 Or else wouldn't they have ceased to be offered, because the worshippers, having been once cleansed, would have had no more consciousness of sins?

Hebrews 10:10 by which will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

When one entered into God's rest in Christ Jesus, his righteous blood take our sins away once for all time. But lets say, if we think our religion or our good works in doing God's commandments makes us perfect before God, we then have no rest, why? Because to be in Christ one must be made sinless, to be made sinless, requires us to redeem ourselves by our own merit, our own worth, by what works we can do for God. But can a sinner please God, because all sin is lawlessness to God? No! A sinner cannot please God, we must have a substitute life, stand in for us, but much more so, we must live in that life resting from our own works in our flesh.

1 John 3:4 Everyone who sins also commits lawlessness. Sin is lawlessness.

1 John 3:5 You know that he was revealed to take away our sins, and in him is no sin.

1 John 3:6 Whoever remains in him doesn't sin. Whoever sins hasn't seen him, neither knows him.

1 John 3:9 Whoever is born of God doesn't commit sin, because his seed remains in him; and he can't sin, because he is born of God.

Christ is our head, we are in his body, meaning simply, his life is our life, but our old life is dead buried when Christ redeem us purchasing us from this earth, out of this world into his kingdom of the Son's love by his precious life he gave too us freely. We must rest in his life, free of the strife from our flesh, free then from sin and its judgments. Free from our own worth trying as we do to please God in our flesh by works of law.
James.3:12 Can a fig tree, my brothers, yield olives, or a vine figs? Thus no spring yields both salt water and fresh water.
3:13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by his good conduct that his deeds are done in gentleness of wisdom.
3:14 But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, don't boast and don't lie against the truth.
3:15 This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, sensual, and demonic. 3:16 For where jealousy and selfish ambition are, there is confusion and every evil deed.

James. 2:8 However, if you fulfill the royal law, according to the Scripture, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself,"{Leviticus 19:18} you do well. 2:9 But if you show partiality, you commit sin, being convicted by the law as transgressors. 2:10 For whoever keeps the whole law, and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all. 2:11 For he who said, "Do not commit adultery,"{Exodus 20:14; Deuteronomy 5:18} also said, "Do not commit murder."{Exodus 10:13; Deuteronomy 5:17} Now if you do not commit adultery, but murder, you have become a transgressor of the law. 2:12 So speak, and so do, as men who are to be judged by a law of freedom.

James. 5:9 Don't grumble, brothers, against one another, so that you won't be judged. Behold, the judge stands at the door.
5:10 Take, brothers, for an example of suffering and of patience, the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord.
5:11 Behold, we call them blessed who endured. You have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the Lord in the outcome, and how the Lord is full of compassion and mercy.

But the ultimate question is? How is that possible when we live in a war zone of our flesh against God's spirit? We can't unless we believe that's right, we put faith in the power of Christ life, and not our own? That is the key, when we put faith in our own life, we fall into works of law, we start justifying our every actions as being good enough to take our sins away, foolishly leaving the promise rest of God given to us freely in Christ life. Now we become haughty comparing our worth, and our works against others, we defend our actions fighting in our flesh to prove our point of what? Worthiness! Yet, lets take a breathe here we are not worthy in our flesh, we are never worthy enough in our flesh, we are dead in our flesh and it is truthfully Christ Jesus life that makes us worthy.

1Cor. 4:1 So let a man think of us as Christ's servants, and stewards of God's mysteries. 4:2 Here, moreover, it is required of stewards, that they be found faithful. 4:3 But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged by you, or by man's judgment. Yes, I don't judge my own self. 4:4 For I know nothing against myself. Yet I am not justified by this, but he who judges me is the Lord. 4:5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and reveal the counsels of the hearts. Then each man will get his praise from God.

Rom.7:18 For I know that in me, that is, in my flesh, dwells no good thing. For desire is present with me, but I don't find it doing that which is good. 7:19 For the good which I desire, I don't do; but the evil which I don't desire, that I practice.

Rom.7:24 What a wretched man I am! Who will deliver me out of the body of this death? 7:25 I thank God through Jesus Christ, our Lord! So then with the mind, I myself serve God's law, but with the flesh, the sin's law.

Philippians 3:9 and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own, that which is of the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith;

Romans 1:17 For in it is revealed God's righteousness from faith to faith. As it is written, "But the righteous shall live by faith."{Habakkuk 2:4}

****Heb.4:2 For indeed we have had good news preached to us, even as they also did, but the word they heard didn't profit them, because it wasn't mixed with faith by those who heard. 4:3 For we who have believed do enter into that rest, even as he has said, "As I swore in my wrath, they will not enter into my rest;"{Psalm 95:11} although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.

Obedience and disobedience, how contrary is our opinion of what faith is, found in 52-thousand sects of Christian's religion? The confusion over resting and not resting in faith is profound! However, we shouldn't be surprised when all false religion is based upon works of law where few are on the road of life.

1 Corinthians 1:29 that no flesh should boast before God.

It not a matter of hearing, we know, or repeating words over and over again, or the amount of reading in our bibles we do, or how many religious meeting we attend. No! It not by works, but rest, resting in God rest. Who's approval do we seek? Works of law are seen by men and woman we want to impress that we are doing enough for God, faith can't be seen, and it is opposed to our flesh, it flesh stand in a world that hates the Spirit, lust against the Spirit, and can't know the Spirit.

1 Corinthians 15:50 Now I say this, brothers,{The word for "brothers" here and where context allows may also be correctly translated "brothers and sisters" or "siblings."} that flesh and blood can't inherit the Kingdom of God; neither does corruption inherit incorruption.

Religion is like a vending machine, you put works into and get something back, the more you feed the machine the greater the goods you get back. But its also the lurking place of every unclean bird and the demons! In other words, they sell God, the more you give the greater the blessing, and that is why so many hate religion it is superficial having no depth of love. But the truth, which few even grasp what truth is? It is, pure worship because it has no lie. Subsequently, Jesus is the truth, his “life” is where pure worship is found of God, the temple of the living God, Jehovah.

1 Corinthians 3:16 Don't you know that you are a temple of God, and that God's Spirit lives in you?

1 Corinthians 6:20 for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.

1 Corinthians 12:3 Therefore I make known to you that no man speaking by God's Spirit says, "Jesus is accursed." No one can say, "Jesus is Lord," but by the Holy Spirit.

But how do we enter into Christ? He is the door, none can go to the Father unless they enter into the sheep pen by the gate, the gate is truth, it is life, and it is Christ. There is no truth on earth for it is under the power of the evil one, the creator of the lie. Yes, we must go up, we must be resurrected into the life of Christ to know the truth, that is, Christ. But how can we do that when we are following false teachings of religion that teaches we must work our way up, by the power of our own flesh? What work must we do, the flesh scream out! Why does the flesh want to work so much? Why can it not desist from works of law, and rest?

Romans 8:7 because the mind of the flesh is hostile towards God; for it is not subject to God's law, neither indeed can it be.

Romans 8:12 So then, brothers, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.

Rom.10:6 But the righteousness which is of faith says this, "Don't say in your heart, 'Who will ascend into heaven?'{Deuteronomy 30:12} (that is, to bring Christ down);
10:7 or, 'Who will descend into the abyss?'{Deuteronomy 30:13} (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead.)" 10:8 But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth, and in your heart;"{Deuteronomy 30:14} that is, the word of faith, which we preach:

Romans 6:4 We were buried therefore with him through baptism to death, that just like Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life.

Why does the flesh make God into pay as you go? God's wrath should cause much fear for our fallen flesh, should it not? For the truth of God says we cannot please God in our flesh, it cannot be in subjection to God, or his laws, why? Simply because sinful flesh cannot pay for something that it can't start to earn in the first place. How does on take polluted water and tell it if you work real hard you can unpollute yourself? No! Lets not be foolish the water can't change its polluted state by adding more pollution that like asking leavened bread full of yeast to unyeast itself into unleavened bread, and that is why the flesh can't stop doing works of law. It is trying to get rid of its sin, by compensating a good work to remove sin, which is the lie!

Rom.7:18 For I know that in me, that is, in my flesh, dwells no good thing. For desire is present with me, but I don't find it doing that which is good. 7:19 For the good which I desire, I don't do; but the evil which I don't desire, that I practice. 7:20 But if what I don't desire, that I do, it is no more I that do it, but sin which dwells in me. 7:21 I find then the law, that, to me, while I desire to do good, evil is present.

The flesh must rest, stop proving it is worthy to please God, so how does it rest? It can't, it can never stop what it was created to do from the lie, and that is to be in competition with God, as a god! The flesh must be put too death, but not by corruption, that is, other flesh, not even our own! Corruption produce corruption as does those planting with the view towards the flesh one does not plant weeds and get wheat.

1 Peter 3:21 This is a symbol of baptism, which now saves you--not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

James.3:12 Can a fig tree, my brothers, yield olives, or a vine figs? Thus no spring yields both salt water and fresh water.
3:13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by his good conduct that his deeds are done in gentleness of wisdom.

Resting mean being in Christ, the truth, the pure worship of God without sin, and/or leaven. But why does the writer of Hebrew confuse us with works? It very simple, really! If the corruption of the flesh, that is, polluted by sin can never do enough works, in doing good towards God and other to earn life. God must give us the works of a perfect man, as a gift, unearned by us because we can't to have life.

Ephesians 2:8 for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.

2 Corinthians 9:15 Now thanks be to God for his unspeakable gift!

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

You see the idea of works of law came from Israel thinking if they became very righteous by obedient to the God's perfect law, which remember only proved the exact opposite that we could not be perfect enough to not break the law in our sinful flesh that they could earn life. In other words, at the end of their days, they could stand before God and say” “Here is what I've paid you, you owe me life, that is, eternal life.”

Hebrews 6:4 For concerning those who were once enlightened and tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Spirit.

Rom.13:8 Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law.

But love does not owe us anything but love, this is why Adam and Eve failed, sinning against God, everything God had done for them was out of love, freely given them, so that they might live. Once we think we can live outside of God's love than we believe the lie that God owes us something for how good we are in some work we have done for him.

1 John 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God, and knows God.

1 John 4:8 He who doesn't love doesn't know God, for God is love.

1 John 4:9 By this God's love was revealed in us, that God has sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.

Now, God's anointed, those born again, by the works of Christ Jesus for his Father that freed them from God's wrath were deceived by the first lie. They were turn back to the flesh, judge, put to death by incorruption the life of Christ and given a new life free from any flesh, and its judgment, hence, freed of God's wrath. But Satan was seducing some into thinking they could uses the law righteously by judging what God had declared righteous by his own Son's incorruptible life, the flesh dead in Christ by the law Christ completed for us in his own works. No! They could not rest in the works of their flesh it would only produce death, they must stop, desist from justification of something that cannot be justified the sinful flesh, it could not be made clean by perfect laws or perfect works of any religion, nothing under the Sun upon this earth could clear them of sin!

Hebrews 10:22 let's draw near with a true heart in fullness of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and having our body washed with pure water.
1 Corinthians 6:11 Such were some of you, but you were washed. But you were sanctified. But you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God.

Titus 3:5 not by works of righteousness, which we did ourselves, but according to his mercy, he saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit.

Rom..10:2 For I testify about them that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. 10:3 For being ignorant of God's righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, they didn't subject themselves to the righteousness of God. 10:4 For Christ is the fulfillment{or, completion, or end} of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

****Heb.4:4 For he has said this somewhere about the seventh day, "God rested on the seventh day from all his works;"{Genesis 2:2} 4:5 and in this place again, "They will not enter into my rest."{Psalm 95:11}

What is the will of our Father in heaven? Is it not that we should rest from our works and enter into his? Yet, few actually enter into God's rest simply because they cannot hear his voice for lack of faith. What are our works?

Heb.2:10 But to us, God revealed them through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.
2:11 For who among men knows the things of a man, except the spirit of the man, which is in him? Even so, no one knows the things of God, except God's Spirit.

A simple, but profound question we all need to ask ourselves daily? Our rest as Christian's is Christ Jesus, our being “in Christ” is where we hear the voice of God. Yes, for us to hear the voice of our Father we must be in Christ resting from what? Our flesh! The flesh cannot rest, it is opposed to the Spirit and cannot please God, it is of no value at all for hearing the voice of the Father (Spirit).

1Cor.2:14 Now the natural man doesn't receive the things of God's Spirit, for they are foolishness to him, and he can't know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 2:15 But he who is spiritual discerns all things, and he himself is judged by no one.
2:16 "For who has known the mind of the Lord, that he should instruct him?"{Isaiah 40:13} But we have Christ's mind.

For this reason, God's mercy kills our flesh, set it aside, buries it for us so we can rest from its relentless self-justification. But few hear the voice of the Spirit for the loud voice of the flesh demanding what its needs and wants are to God, that is, what works it wants to do. The flesh cannot be a servant to Christ or the Father it is impossible, for the flesh cannot be in subjection to laws of God, and if one breaks the laws of God they are lawless, putting them under God wrath, not friendship.

Rom.8:7 because the mind of the flesh is hostile towards God; for it is not subject to God's law, neither indeed can it be.
8:8 Those who are in the flesh can't please God.

The flesh cannot worship in Spirit and truth, that is, in Holy Spirit which it is opposed to, and the truth, which is, Christ because flesh cannot enter into the spirit life of Christ. Those justifying their flesh, by calling it lustful works God's will for them, will have their pet projects burnt as if by fire, if they are in Christ, and resting while justifying their own will of their flesh as God's works.

John.6:28 They said therefore to him, "What must we do, that we may work the works of God?" 6:29 Jesus answered them, "This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent."

1Cor.3:13 each man's work will be revealed. For the Day will declare it, because it is revealed in fire; and the fire itself will test what sort of work each man's work is. 3:14 If any man's work remains which he built on it, he will receive a reward. 3:15 If any man's work is burned, he will suffer loss, but he himself will be saved, but as through fire. 3:16 Don't you know that you are a temple of God, and that God's Spirit lives in you?

Israel could not enter into God's rest because they could not rest in God's prophet Moses, who they were baptized into at the Red Sea who spoke God's voice to them. They were invited in, but once there they could not desist from the will of their own flesh the things they thought they deserved as God chosen people, and insisted upon from Moses.

Numbers 13:32 They brought up an evil report of the land which they had spied out to the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to spy it out, is a land that eats up its inhabitants; and all the people who we saw in it are men of great stature.

Numbers 14:2 All the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron: and the whole congregation said to them, Would that we had died in the land of Egypt! or would that we had died in this wilderness! 14:3 Why does Yahweh bring us to this land, to fall by the sword? Our wives and our little ones will be a prey: wouldn't it be better for us to return into Egypt?

What do we need from Christ that we are baptize into? We are told with no doubt what Christ will do for us, how much he will provide for us, none that accept Christ have every been disappointed that Christ did not keep his word perfectly to them. It is only the discontentment of our flesh that we lose our rest in Christ. The voice of the Spirit does not change it is the same today as it was yesterday is it not? Have we changed, was it not enough?

1Cor.3:21 Therefore let no one boast in men. For all things are yours, 3:22 whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come. All are yours,
3:23 and you are Christ's, and Christ is God's.

Luke 22:35 He said to them, "When I sent you out without purse, and wallet, and shoes, did you lack anything?" They said, "Nothing."

Matt. 6:25 Therefore, I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? 6:26 See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they?
6:27 "Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment{literally, cubit} to his lifespan? 6:28 Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don't toil, neither do they spin, 6:29 yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these.
6:30 But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won't he much more clothe you, you of little faith? 6:31 "Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' 6:32 For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.
6:33 But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. 6:34 Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient.

****Heb.4:6 Seeing therefore it remains that some should enter therein, and they to whom the good news was before preached failed to enter in because of disobedience, 4:7 he again defines a certain day, today, saying through David so long a time afterward (just as has been said), "Today if you will hear his voice, don't harden your hearts."{Psalm 95:7-8} 4:8 For if Joshua had given them rest, he would not have spoken afterward of another day. 4:9 There remains therefore a Sabbath rest for the people of God. 4:10 For he who has entered into his rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from his.

Before we delve into this subject, a subject that has been covered for some two thousand's years of Christianity lets us ask a simple question? Is God doing a physical work on earth today?

John 14:17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world can't receive; for it doesn't see him, neither knows him. You know him, for he lives with you, and will be in you.

Did Christ do a physical work while he was on earth anointed by God in his ministry for three and half years? Did the apostles of Christ build places of worship on earth doing a physical work for God? No! Why is that simple point so missing in all religions today, and for most Christian's since Christ?

John 4:23 But the hour comes, and now is, when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father seeks such to be his worshippers.

John 4:24 God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth."

John 6:63 It is the spirit who gives life. The flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and are life.

Christ did a spiritual work unknown to this world, and his apostles did the same spiritual work, but it was only after the apostles were gone dead Christian's started doing physical works calling them from God! Subsequently, the entire subject of resting from our works can't be understood at all because Christian's today are out and about labeling everything they do as God's works. In other words, they have permeated the kingdom of God with yeast teachings from their flesh in doing physical works boasting in the flesh as if from God!

Matt.7:22 Many will tell me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, didn't we prophesy in your name, in your name cast out demons, and in your name do many mighty works?' 7:23 Then I will tell them, 'I never knew you. Depart from me, you who work iniquity.' 7:24 "Everyone therefore who hears these words of mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man, who built his house on a rock. 7:25 The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat on that house; and it didn't fall, for it was founded on the rock.
7:26 Everyone who hears these words of mine, and doesn't do them will be like a foolish man, who built his house on the sand.
7:27 The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat on that house; and it fell--and great was its fall."

God's works and those found in Christ for God cannot be understood in physical works of mankind such is not the household of God that the apostle Paul is speaking to here in Hebrews. The physical works of Israel where stripped by the power of Christ indestructible life upon his glorification. That power of Christ life was to build God a spirit temple form a spiritual work Christ would do for his Father YHWH.

Col. 2:12 having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead.
2:13 You were dead through your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh. He made you alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, 2:14 wiping out the handwriting in ordinances which was against us; and he has taken it out of the way, nailing it to the cross;
2:15 having stripped the principalities and the powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it. 2:16 Let no man therefore judge you in eating, or in drinking, or with respect to a feast day or a new moon or a Sabbath day, 2:17 which are a shadow of the things to come; but the body is Christ's.
2:18 Let no one rob you of your prize by a voluntary humility and worshipping of the angels, dwelling in the things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
2:19 and not holding firmly to the Head, from whom all the body, being supplied and knit together through the joints and ligaments, grows with God's growth.
2:20 If you died with Christ from the elements of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to ordinances,
2:21 "Don't handle, nor taste, nor touch"
2:22 (all of which perish with use), according to the precepts and doctrines of men? 2:23 Which things indeed appear like wisdom in self-imposed worship, and humility, and severity to the body; but aren't of any value against the indulgence of the flesh.

In other words, the spirit person of God in heaven are resting towards this earth from doing physical works because the world and all that in it are not from God, a basic teaching of all bibles. That is why those born new from the old world of flesh and corruption into the living incorruptible life of Christ Spirit works must desist from works of the old flesh to enter into God's works of building up the body of Christ for God's habitation by Holy Spirit!

Romans 8:9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if it is so that the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if any man doesn't have the Spirit of Christ, he is not his.
1 Peter 2:5 You also, as living stones, are built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

Hebrews 10:21 and having a great priest over the house of God.

They being in Christ are part of the temple of God, nothing of human power or works are found in God's temple all things are new in Christ no works of this world are in Christ the temple of God. To desist from works of our flesh we must have faith not in our own power to know the truth or God, but instead we must have faith in the power of God found in Christ Jesus for us Christian's.

1 Corinthians 2:4 My speech and my preaching were not in persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, 2:5 that your faith wouldn't stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

1 Corinthians 4:20 For the Kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.

2 Corinthians 13:4 For he was crucified through weakness, yet he lives through the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we will live with him through the power of God toward you.

Ephesians 1:19 and what is the exceeding greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to that working of the strength of his might

Ephesians 1:21 far above all rule, and authority, and power, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in that which is to come.

Hebrews 7:16 who has been made, not after the law of a fleshly commandment, but after the power of an endless life:

Why? Because it is impossible to desist from sinning or works of flesh in our flesh, we must die to stop sinning, we must die to stop being in the works of our flesh. We must die to stop doing our own works to do the works of God. God died to this world when Adam and Eve sinned. He could no longer be part of it, he stop his perfect sinless works as if God died.

1 John 2:15 Don't love the world, neither the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the Father's love isn't in him. 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, isn't the Father's, but is the world's. 2:17 The world is passing away with its lusts, but he who does God's will remains forever.

1 John 2:15 Don't love the world, neither the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the Father's love isn't in him.

1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, isn't the Father's, but is the world's.

1 John 2:17 The world is passing away with its lusts, but he who does God's will remains forever.

Nothing from that point forward was God's works until God gave Moses the law birthing a physical nation of Israel into existence by his mighty hand by powerful works that could not be done by mankind. Those physical works in building physical temples and kings palaces Christ did not do. Christ desist from his physical labors as if dead too them any-longer and started doing the works of God. This was the problem and the reason the book of Hebrews was written to explain to those who were Jews coming from a physical nation that God had changed into a spiritual nation of Israel which was from above a heavenly Spirit city Jerusalem above that all his works would now be centered on.

Heb. 12:18 For you have not come to a mountain that might be touched, and that burned with fire, and to blackness, darkness, storm, 12:19 the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which those who heard it begged that not one more word should be spoken to them, 12:20 for they could not stand that which was commanded, "If even an animal touches the mountain, it shall be stoned{TR adds "or shot with an arrow" [see Exodus 19:12-13]};"{Exodus 19:12-13} 12:21 and so fearful was the appearance, that Moses said, "I am terrified and trembling."{Deuteronomy 9:19}
12:22 But you have come to Mount Zion, and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to innumerable multitudes of angels, 12:23 to the general assembly and assembly of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect, 12:24 to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant,{Jeremiah 31:31} and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better than that of Abel. 12:25 See that you don't refuse him who speaks. For if they didn't escape when they refused him who warned on the Earth, how much more will we not escape who turn away from him who warns from heaven, 12:26 whose voice shook the earth then, but now he has promised, saying, "Yet once more I will shake not only the earth, but also the heavens."{Haggai 2:6}
12:27 This phrase, "Yet once more," signifies the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that have been made, that those things which are not shaken may remain.
12:28 Therefore, receiving a Kingdom that can't be shaken, let us have grace, through which we serve God acceptably, with reverence and awe,
12:29 for our God is a consuming fire.{Deuteronomy 4:24}

Now we know why Christ, his apostles, and those following Christ at the time did not build anything on earth physically calling it from God's hand or direction. Yes, search the scriptures if you will you will find nothing built by the early Christian's at the apostles time built and dedicated to God as his instruction or works. However, one-hundred year after Christ we will find many things built by those of the flesh, weed Christian's that corrupted all the truth of God's Kingdom in heaven. The kingdom of the heavens had become like a woman putting a batch of yeast into unleavened bread corrupting the whole lump, so to is the kingdom of heavens when Christian's went into the flesh.

Romans 8:7 because the mind of the flesh is hostile towards God; for it is not subject to God's law, neither indeed can it be.

Romans 8:8 Those who are in the flesh can't please God.

Luke.13:20 Again he said, "To what shall I compare the Kingdom of God? 13:21 It is like yeast, which a woman took and hid in three measures{literally, three sata. 3 sata is about 39 litres or a bit more than a bushel} of flour, until it was all leavened."

The flesh is of no value at all in building and doing the works of God, it is the Spirit that gives life and that is the work of God for mankind in restoring what Adam and Eve lost, a Spirit life giving relationship with God, not a physical place to live or work. When we show up to work we desist from our works or we don't have a job very long. When we are adopted by God from the old life, put to death in the flesh we start doing the works of God by faith in the power of God's Spirit and the direction, teaching, of that Spirit, or we are dead to God.

1 John 2:20 You have an anointing from the Holy One, and you all have knowledge.{Or, "know what is true." Or, "know all things."}

1 John 2:27 As for you, the anointing which you received from him remains in you, and you don't need for anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is no lie, and even as it taught you, you will remain in him.

Revelation 22:17 The Spirit and the bride say, "Come!" He who hears, let him say, "Come!" He who is thirsty, let him come. He who desires, let him take the water of life freely.
John.6:27 Don't work for the food which perishes, but for the food which remains to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you. For God the Father has sealed him." 6:28 They said therefore to him, "What must we do, that we may work the works of God?"
6:29 Jesus answered them, "This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent."

****Heb.4:11 Let us therefore give diligence to enter into that rest, lest anyone fall after the same example of disobedience. .4:12 For the word of God is living, and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and is able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart. 4:13 There is no creature that is hidden from his sight, but all things are naked and laid open before the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

Do we have the context of the apostle Paul's Holy Spirit directed thought here? First, and foremost, is Paul speaking to the world?
No he is not! He speaking factually to a very small group, the new creation?

Matthew 18:10 See that you don't despise one of these little ones, for I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven.

Matthew 10:42 Whoever gives one of these little ones just a cup of cold water to drink in the name of a disciple, most certainly I tell you he will in no way lose his reward."

Luke 12:32 Don't be afraid, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the Kingdom.

But created from who, and where? Simply put, created in Christ Jesus new life, located in heaven at the right hand of his YHWH. Yes, they were born again into a new life, the life of Christ, in him and through him their life existed for the will of God. Now we have context, yet, we may be lacking even in this understanding if we don't understand who the word of God is here? Paul is not speaking of the bible as the word of God, nor the word of a minister using God's word, no!

John 1:14 The Word became flesh, and lived among us. We saw his glory, such glory as of the one and only Son of the Father, full of grace and truth.

Paul is speaking about Jesus Christ whom the new creation was created from the Word, as the head of the body, and/or the temple of the living God. Furthermore, Paul speaks to high priest of the spirit temple of God which Christ is. Paul speak to the truth Christ foretold would come upon those born again into his life, and what is that truth? A fiery judgment, a judgment that starts two thousand's years ago and continues today for those born new into Christ life.

Luke 3:16 John answered them all, "I indeed baptize you with water, but he comes who is mightier than I, the latchet of whose sandals I am not worthy to loosen. He will baptize you in the Holy Spirit and fire,

Luke 3:17 whose fan is in his hand, and he will thoroughly cleanse his threshing floor, and will gather the wheat into his barn; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire."

For those that breathe and teach fear about the loose conduct of God's anointed haven't thought through the truth of Paul's words here. They simply, don't understand, one cannot be in Christ and go unattended by the power of the word of God, Christ Jesus! Its not possible, no more so then one foolish believing they have born themselves again into Christ life, or that they can determine who is in Christ by observation of someone fallen flesh.

John 8:15 You judge according to the flesh. I judge no one.

All that nonsense is false religion and its teaches judgment of the flesh, these Paul speaks to here are a new creation having no flesh in Christ. They don't even no anyone by the flesh, after being born new in to Spirit and truth. No! That judgment was dead and gone two thousand's years ago. How! Well, lets get this clear, the primary doctrines of Christ is, first, Christ completed, finished, abolished the judgment of the flesh by taking our sins in the flesh once for all times. If we are stuck there, we are stuck in our flesh and all the judgments of the flesh, something that is dead in Christ if we are actually born new into Christ life.

Romans 10:4 For Christ is the fulfillment{or, completion, or end} of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

1 Corinthians 6:16 Or don't you know that he who is joined to a prostitute is one body? For, "The two," says he, "will become one flesh."{Genesis 2:24}

2 Corinthians 5:16 Therefore we know no one after the flesh from now on. Even though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now we know him so no more.

Romans 8:13 For if you live after the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

In Christ is the power of God and the constant consistence judgment of the that household which one cannot escape the eyes of the word of God. Moreover, if we believe that truth, then in context we can rest in Christ power and not our own judgments of flesh thinking we can change it. No we cannot, Jesus did not, YHWH did not, they judged it dead of no value at all in serving God. If we are still in the flesh be can't please God.

Romans 8:8 Those who are in the flesh can't please God.

Romans 6:4 We were buried therefore with him through baptism to death, that just like Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life.

****Heb.4:14 Having then a great high priest, who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold tightly to our confession. 4:15 For we don't have a high priest who can't be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, but one who has been in all points tempted like we are, yet without sin.
4:16 Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need.

The apostle Paul summat his thoughts by Holy Spirit in this part of his letter to the Hebrews. Here he tells us all things for God's anointed are under perfect control of the head of the body Christ Jesus. Nothing is lacking, and nobody can stop the word of God from completing its purpose on earth or in heaven. Nothing is beyond the eyes of God's Word Christ Jesus the very word the anointed are created from and live in.

Isa.40:27 Why do you say, Jacob, and speak, Israel, "My way is hidden from Yahweh, and the justice due me is disregarded by my God?" 40:28 Haven't you known? Haven't you heard? The everlasting God, Yahweh, The Creator of the ends of the earth, doesn't faint. He isn't weary. His understanding is unsearchable.
40:29 He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might.

1Cor.3:21 Therefore let no one boast in men. For all things are yours, 3:22 whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come. All are yours,
3:23 and you are Christ's, and Christ is God's.

Perfection rules in complete harmony and control unlike the shakable corrupt kingdoms of this earth, unlike every human being born into sin that are constantly shaken in everything they do. The work finished in Christ who tasted sin and death for all of us, he is not like the high priest of flesh and blood on earth left to the corruption of their own flesh and those they ministered to. Christ is the indestructible life we all received the power of Holy Spirit through. He conquered sin and death for us, he ran the race allowing us to be part of an everlasting way. The way, the life and the truth.

Col.1:14 in whom we have our redemption,{TR adds "through his blood,"} the forgiveness of our sins;
1:15 who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. 1:16 For by him all things were created, in the heavens and on the earth, things visible and things invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers; all things have been created through him, and for him.
1:17 He is before all things, and in him all things are held together. 1:18 He is the head of the body, the assembly, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. 1:19 For all the fullness was pleased to dwell in him; 1:20 and through him to reconcile all things to himself, by him, whether things on the earth, or things in the heavens, having made peace through the blood of his cross.
1:21 You, being in past times alienated and enemies in your mind in your evil works.

Col. 2:15 having stripped the principalities and the powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
2:16 Let no man therefore judge you in eating, or in drinking, or with respect to a feast day or a new moon or a Sabbath day,
2:17 which are a shadow of the things to come; but the body is Christ's.

Satan was defeated completely by Christ faithful life, resurrected into incorruptible spirit person as the king of eternity. Nothing is left undone, not one thing for those having faith. Yes, that is the key, we have boldness, if we do not trust in flesh, not even our own. We have boldness trusting in what? Grace, God's love, God's unmerited kindness given to us in the greatest gift of love that could be offer mankind, the Christ, the Word of God, the indestructible life of God's Kingdom Christ Jesus.

Philip.2:9 Therefore God also highly exalted him, and gave to him the name which is above every name;
2:10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth,
2:11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Philip.3:20 For our citizenship is in heaven, from where we also wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ;
3:21 who will change the body of our humiliation to be conformed to the body of his glory, according to the working by which he is able even to subject all things to himself.

We can approach God not in our merit, not in our worth, not in our works, but because of God's love. What he gave us, on all levels leaving nothing undone, the perfect sinless life of his Son Christ Jesus. We are not bold in our flesh, we do not like the world is in brag in our flesh, being puff up thinking we cannot fall or we have earn merit because of our own efforts?

Ephesians 3:7 of which I was made a servant, according to the gift of that grace of God which was given me according to the working of his power.

2 Corinthians 9:15 Now thanks be to God for his unspeakable gift!

Romans 9:11 For being not yet born, neither having done anything good or bad, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him who calls.

Romans 11:6 And if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, it is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work.

No! We have fallen from God's glory we have been born into that state, but because of a perfect life, not ours, not that we could have every made ourselves acceptable to God, but by God's perfect preordained plan we have been given life. We have been given life freely, without our goodness, works, or personality, position, education, circumstance, God's gift of unmerited kindness, given us freely, no human would account us worth, so why justify ourselves to the flesh that condemns, and is condemned proven from it own fruit of corruption, they deprived Christ of his life, why would we put faith in flesh at all?

Romans 7:5 For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were through the law, worked in our members to bring forth fruit to death.

Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don't walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.{NU omits "who don't walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit"}

Romans 8:3 For what the law couldn't do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God did, sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh;

Romans 8:8 Those who are in the flesh can't please God.

Romans 8:9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if it is so that the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if any man doesn't have the Spirit of Christ, he is not his.

Romans 8:12 So then, brothers, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.

We must always be sober of mind having Christ mind, not our old mind of flesh, having faith in the perfect gife of God, Christ Jesus as our life, we must always fix our eyes on the solution, not the problems, not the past defeated by Christ, but the hope, putting faith in God, and none other to fix the problems of mankind.

1 John 3:8 He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. To this end the Son of God was revealed, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

Revelation 22:13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.

1 Peter 4:7 But the end of all things is near. Therefore be of sound mind, self-controlled, and sober in prayer.

Hebrews 3:14 For we have become partakers of Christ, if we hold fast the beginning of our confidence firm to the end:

1 Corinthians 15:24 Then the end comes, when he will deliver up the Kingdom to God, even the Father; when he will have abolished all rule and all authority and power.
