MAIN TALK UNDERSTANDING GOD THE SCRIPTURES

Daily Bible Thought > 2Pet.1:18,19. - A Lamp Shinning in a Dark Place

2Pet.1:18 We heard this voice come out of heaven when we were with him on the holy mountain. 1:19 We have the more sure word of prophecy; and you do well that you heed it, as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns, and the morning star arises in your hearts:

How beautiful that all that the apostles heard, seen and touched, was miraculous, nothing in them could have thought up or made up such a grand and marvelous witness of glory they beheld in their personal association with the Son of God, and yet, they did not lean on that as the exclusive truth, what did the apostles say was the glory of truth for all anointed followers of Christ Jesus?

2 Corinthians 3:18 But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord, the Spirit.

The Holy Spirit which made Jesus Christ the wonders of wonders upon earth the greatest of all God's prophets, the greatest of all teachers. Christ himself gave credit to the Holy Spirit, that is, his personal association with the Father through the Holy Spirit. Here then Peter and the others apostles wanted each child of God to understand they had received the same glorious witness by Holy Spirit the personal association with their Father YHWH. Although, the witnesses of the flesh glorious as it was in personal contact with Christ was still second in place when Christ pour out the Holy Spirit and anointed his disciples with his own anointing making them son's of God with a personal adoption into the family of God.

1 Thessalonians 2:12 to the end that you should walk worthily of God, who calls you into his own Kingdom and glory.

Colossians 1:27 to whom God was pleased to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory;
Philippians 4:19 My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

Now they knew the mind of the Father, now they associated with God in Spirit being loved and comforted by a loving heavenly Father, they had received the glory of reflecting the Holy Spirit giving the human race a glimpse of God as our Father patterned after the Christ transferred into the kingdom of the son's love, No shadow of darkness, but light in truth, such purity of living truth indwelling them by the life of Christ never witnesses by the greatest of God's prophet until Christ opened the way into heaven by Holy Spirit.

John 1:14 The Word became flesh, and lived among us. We saw his glory, such glory as of the one and only Son of the Father, full of grace and truth.

John 1:17 For the law was given through Moses. Grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

God children must never forget the power in them, the glorious riches of heaven given freely to them, no! Don't pine away thinking in human terms of missing what the apostles experienced, no! Remember you have personal communion with God our Father, no relationship in the flesh could ever be better or closer than the love of our Father pour out into our hearts by His personal Holy Spirit, how else could we know love?

Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your heart to the Lord.

Rom.8:15 For you didn't receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, "Abba{Abba is an Aramaic word for father or daddy, often used affectionately and respectfully in prayer to our Father in heaven.}! Father!"

Rom.8:38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,
8:39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
