Isa.57:1 The righteous perishes, and no man lays it to heart; and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil [to come]
What happens if there are no righteous merciful ones when evil comes to a nations? Does evil have mercy and equal justice or destruction and
misery in all its ways?
Consider, one righteous person can save a nation, they can stop
violent revenge of a blood thirsty mob. A righteous person can recall judges back to the power of law.
James.5:17 Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain, and it didn’t rain on the earth for three years and six months. 5:18 He prayed again, and the sky gave rain, and the earth brought forth its fruit.
