The drug of self-righteousness, the desire to feel holy;
walking by sight instead of faith by high sounding words, music,
cathedrals, fine clothing, jewels gold and silver, and personality!
But the Holy Spirit is just the opposite, moved by the lowly things, the
things looked down on by this world. Christ Jesus had none of these
things nor his apostles they were no part of this world and walked
by faith, not sight!
James 2:6 But you have dishonored the poor
man. Don’t the rich oppress you, and personally drag you before the
courts?
2 Cor.5:7 for we walk by faith, not by sight.
1 Cor.1:28 and God chose the lowly things of the world, and the things
that are despised, and the things that are not, that he might bring
to nothing the things that are:
