Daily Bible Thought > Baby Food Bible Thought

1Cor.3:1 Brothers, I couldn't speak to you as to spiritual, but as to fleshly, as to babies in Christ.

Now the problem for all Christian's Paul address here; does a baby know it is eating baby food? Do baby Christian's know the difference between baby food and adult food? Moreover, do they act like adults when they don't get the food they desire? How easily can a baby be misled, will they take a shine penny over a thousand dollar bill? Yes! These babies in Christ were dependent upon teachers, hopefully mature teachers not seeking their own glory. Fleshly baby Christian's love personalities they are taken in by them, going from one too the other to have their ears tickled so they can have their baby food.

Just like a baby they don't know if their getting true spiritual food or not, they just want attention when they want attention. How shameful that ones would use such a weak and vulnerable state, but this is what false teachers do to gain control over others. Teachers are no more than a vessels themselves directing baby Christian's to the Christ Jesus as the head of the body. They are not the parents having ownership where competition of the flesh gives a person bragging rights, they are a vessel pouring out the pure waters of truth, and trusting it in God that will makes the growth in heart of the Christian's.

Each Christian's teachers has to make a choice, do they teach from an agenda, or truth willingly giving up this life for Christ Jesus, yes! It may cost us everything in popularity, and even ones life to teach truth. Do they say faithful to the Christ, by setting the eyes of their students upon Christ glory, or their own, or do they rather spend all their time reminding others about how right they are, and about how they were the very first to reveal some truth?
