Gal.3:2 I just want to learn this from you. Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by hearing of faith?
How did those Apostles and ourselves receive the Spirit? Some have confused themselves that it is through their religion, Peter must of some how fallen into this trap of Devil. The Spirit of God on earth works through Christ Jesus, He does not honor men and their renowned teachings about Christ Jesus forming monstrous corporates empires with religious names. Christ Jesus in the lamb of God standing on Mount Zion in heaven, why a lamb, instead of a beast with many horns feared by all? Because Christ Jesus washes feet humbly serving other even in heaven as an exulted King.
From whom than did Galatians and ourselves receive the Holy Spirit from, was it the Law, or Christ Jesus? Well, the Holy Spirit must come through God only channel too us, no other name is given among men by which to be saved, but Christ Jesus. So how had the Law become more important to the Galatians than Christ Jesus? The Law brings pride not humility of the Christ, how can one say such a thing? Simple put, the Law causes judgments, not forgiveness, the Law condemn us creating anger. Yes, when people condemn us we get anger even when their right, why because we all have reason for our actions, or justification for why we do what we do. Law makes no excuses it just punishes everyone the same there are no good reason for breaking the law just condemnation and punishment.
The Galatians liked using the power of the Law under the title of Christ Jesus to punishes those not obeying the rules of their group just like Peter had done. They liked the feeling superiority by their judgments, that is, being right in their teachings more than the love of God. They wanted power to kick people out who were not listening to their godly teachings, they didn't wanted to suffer as slave in love. They did not want to look foolish in the eyes of the world who's opinion was more important than God's. They wanted the respect of great men of the world over Christ Jesus working in them by God Holy Spirit in lowliness of mind and love. They feared the persecution of Christ Jesus having no power, but God's invisible Spirit for protection, provide, He granted it? Yes, fierce persecution awaited them in Christ Jesus, without protection, nothing, but their faith in God's saving power and hope, without bars or doors of protection receiving their reward in the next life. No they would not be honored among the great men of earth in Christ Jesus, not unless they built their own greatness through the law and religion mixing in the name of Christ Jesus into institution of religions.
