MAIN TALK UNDERSTANDING GOD THE SCRIPTURES

Daily Bible Thought > Prosperous Life Now?

1Cor. 7:24 Brothers, let each man, in whatever condition he was called, stay in that condition with God.

Everything within the materialistic society of weed-Christian's is upward movement, promotion, and wealth, success stories, being blessed with a prosperous Christian's life now. Moreover, those not being blessed this way are believed too be secretly sinning against God somehow!

Here we find the one of the most effective tools in deceiving Christian's into severing God for material blessings, denying the very power of godly devotion to which they were called into Christ Jesus own body.

Success for a Christian's is not measure by material wealth, it is measure by faith in endurance in good works, one is taking, the other is giving, it was the widow's mite that impressed our Lord, not the prosperous life of the rich man.

Mark 12:41 Jesus sat down opposite the treasury, and saw how the multitude cast money into the treasury. Many who were rich cast in much. 12:42 A poor widow came, and she cast in two small brass coins,{literally, lepta (or widow's mites). Lepta are very small brass coins worth half a quadrans each, which is a quarter of the copper assarion. Lepta are worth less than 1% of an agricultural worker's daily wages.} which equal a quadrans coin.{A quadrans is a coin worth about 1/64 of a denarius. A denarius is about one day's wages for an agricultural laborer.} 12:43 He called his disciples to himself, and said to them, "Most certainly I tell you, this poor widow gave more than all those who are giving into the treasury, 12:44 for they all gave out of their abundance, but she, out of her poverty, gave all that she had to live on."

Here Paul does not write a book on the prosperous Christian life, but rather tells those in Christ Jesus too be content in whatever position they were called from into the Lord; “this is where you were called from, stop seeking a release, as though proof of God's favor in upward movement by material blessings”.

Does a finger seek the diamond ring to adorn itself over other body members? Does the head seek a hat too outshine the neck? Does the foot seek a nicer shoe to look better than the other foot? Worldly weed Christian's seek glory upon on earth lusting too outshine other worldly Christian's, impressing them with power, success, and wealth, thus, somehow justifying their evil lust by a prosperous blessed life.

Who adorns the body is the question, and what does Christ Jesus adorn his own spiritual body with that he feeds and cherishes? Will, don't you think it strange that Jesus Christ would speak of his own body as being sick, in prison, and hungry, and yet, those of the sheep and goats did not know when they had did good or bad too Christ Jesus brothers? Moreover, that not many of Christ Jesus body members were called from the high things of this system, but rather the lowly things, not many rich, or powerful?

So if they did not seek a prosperous life on earth as proof of God's blessing, but rather, remained content in the position God had called them from, who of us would know them, by comparing them according to the blessed prosperous Christian's life now day?

Those wheat Christian's that are true followers of Christ, where ever he leads them, have received the riches of Christ Jesus life in them as treasures in heaven. They are sealed with the promise of Christ Jesus glorified life, they seek the things above, forgetting the things behind, they endure in the suffering of the body of Christ Jesus happily enduring the torture sake for the spiritual blessing of God's Kingdom.
