MAIN TALK UNDERSTANDING GOD THE SCRIPTURES

Daily Bible Thought > 1John 1:4

1John 1:1 That which was from the beginning, that which we have heard, that which we have seen with our eyes, that which we saw, and our hands touched, concerning the Word of life 1:2 (and the life was revealed, and we have seen, and testify, and declare to you the life, the eternal life, which was with the Father, and was revealed to us); 1:3 that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us. Yes, and our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son, Jesus Christ.

The apostle John qualifies his opening statements in the first letter of John, that is, what beginning? Certainly not the beginning of God's creations that Paul talks about in his writings?

Colossians 1:15 who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.

No, but rather the beginning of Christ ministry when he introduces himself to his apostles, where their physical hands could touch, their eyes could see, and ears heard, the marvelous things the Son of Man would speak too them in the wondrous glories of His Father, YHWH; spiritual truth's too each of apostles.

The apostle John had a first hand witnesses of the greatest event every upon this earth, his personal association with God's own Son Christ Jesus, this was untainted good news John would share with the body of Christ Jesus, his brothers and sisters, how wonderful is that, talking to a person who actually heard, seen, and touched, Christ Jesus, getting the unpolluted truth about Christ Jesus?

John did not confuse the issue of who he was witnessing about, not just the Son of God, but also God himself, both were revealed through this first hand experience that John was a witness too. John further puts this whole subject on a spiritual level, Christ was revealed too them including those John was speaking to in his letter, who had not seen, heard, and touched Christ Jesus, but instead by Holy Spirit in their being a living part of the glorified Christ Jesus resurrected into the spiritual heavens with His Father YHWH, who had taking on incorruptibility. This is the subject John was to address in his letter, not just the physical contact with Christ Jesus, but the living imperishable life of Christ Jesus that all of God's children had bearing witness in them to the truth.

Heb.1:3 His Son is the radiance of his glory, the very image of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself made purification for our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high.

1 Peter 1:23 having been born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, through the word of God, which lives and remains forever.
