Col.1:16 For by him all things were created, in the heavens and on the earth, things visible and things invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers; all things have been created through him, and for him.
Here is the problem with debating doctrine which Paul's was not doing here, nor did any of the apostles ever debate who God was, or the Trinity doctrine, it diverts from the subject at hand like lawyers trying to take a word to invalidate the whole context of the document.
In this case the letter to the Colossians. The letter to the Colossian's was a letter that had a theme, and it was not trinity. Paul speaks to the power of Christ and the great act of love on God's part in sending us grace and truth through the best of His own creation to die for us.
There is no higher act of love, in heaven, or upon earth than what God has done for us. There is no greater act of humility, in which the very Son of God, His first born of all things were created through, too empty himself into a slaves form onto death. Here Paul's speaks of the glory in being made parts of such a wonderful loving faithful person in Christ Jesus.
Nothing is lacking for God's children if He did not spare His own Son to redeem us, will He not also save us? Yes, and yes, who will separated us from such great love? Let us not get bogged down into doctrinal fights which promote nothing but the works of the flesh robbing Christ Jesus himself as a free moral agent created in the images of God of his great sacrifice he made for us.
