1John 4:13 By this we know that we remain in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.
What spirit has been given to God's children, the spirit of law, the spirit of fear, the spirit of doctrines and rules, thousands of rules to control their lives, or the Holy Spirit from the God of love and freedom?
2Cor.3:16 But whenever one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 3:17 Now the Lord is the Spirit and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 3:18 But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord, the Spirit.
Those having the spirit of law do not remain in Christ Jesus they cannot, because those in Christ Jesus are in him by God's Holy Spirit testifying in their hearts the truth of Christ Jesus, not laws of a man-made earthly organization. They have tasted and seen the Lord is good, they have the promise teacher, Holy Spirit written into their hearts, the New Covenant of freedom, the Royal Law, love.
2Cor. 3:4 Such confidence we have through Christ toward God; 3:5 not that we are sufficient of ourselves, to account anything as from ourselves; but our sufficiency is from God; 3:6 who also made us sufficient as servants of a new covenant; not of the letter, but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
Law-Christian's trust in nothing but self by intellectual knowledge found in the scriptures without their doctrinal contract judgment grips their heart. They cannot imagine the promises of God without first thinking evil, and distrust for others, but apostle John did not fear the intellectual wisdom of the world, he rather spoke the truth of the promise power of God's Spirit working righteousness in truth in each anointed child of God. Here was the truth, not some where hidden in heaven or down below in depth of the sea, but just as it is written in their own hearts where God has promise to put it.
Rom.10:4 For Christ is the fulfillment{or, completion, or end} of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. 10:5 For Moses writes about the righteousness of the law, "The one who does them will live by them."{Leviticus 18:5} 10:6 But the righteousness which is of faith says this, "Don't say in your heart, 'Who will ascend into heaven?'{Deuteronomy 30:12} (that is, to bring Christ down); 10:7 or, 'Who will descend into the abyss?'{Deuteronomy 30:13} (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead.)" 10:8 But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth, and in your heart;"{Deuteronomy 30:14} that is, the word of faith, which we preach:
