1John4:20 If a man says, "I love God," and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who doesn't love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?
What do we owe our brothers? That is the question if we are to understanding the type of love God YHWH has for us, and what we should have for our brothers?
Rom.13:8 Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law.
Legal-Christian's constantly make members of their group earn God's love and forgiveness, subsequently, they hate their brothers, yes! Hate them in their heart, rather they get it or not, why? Because love forgives “freely”, not by earning of merit in forgiveness, we did not earn forgiveness from God. God gave us the free gift of His Son life, by unmerited kindness.
Those as the apostle John was dealing with at this time of his writing wanted power and control over the body of Christ Jesus, by what? By payment for sinning against them, what does this mean? It means that Christ Jesus is God's high priest we confess, not a man upon earth placed into a position by other sinful men.
If those in Christ Jesus have no condemnation in Christ, that is, God has freely forgiven them not by their good works, but rather Christ Jesus good works, and God gives Christ too us, and his righteousness by an unmerited kindness, Satan is defeated. But if Satan can steal that forgiveness by unrighteous men appearing righteous through powerful institutions of religions, he once again enslaves the human race to his control and power.
Yes, too a world wide weed false kingdom of religion holding the power over lives by debt of sin forgiven or retained by their rules, laws, and doctrines; seating themselves into the very temple of God, Jesus Christ!
James 2:8 However, if you fulfill the royal law, according to the Scripture, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself,"{Leviticus 19:18} you do well. 2:9 But if you show partiality, you commit sin, being convicted by the law as transgressors. 2:10 For whoever keeps the whole law, and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all. 2:11 For he who said, "Do not commit adultery,"{Exodus 20:14; Deuteronomy 5:18} also said, "Do not commit murder."{Exodus 10:13; Deuteronomy 5:17} Now if you do not commit adultery, but murder, you have become a transgressor of the law. 2:12 So speak, and so do, as men who are to be judged by a law of freedom.
