MAIN TALK UNDERSTANDING GOD THE SCRIPTURES

Daily Bible Thought > 1John 5:3 Commandments Not Grievous?

1John 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. His commandments are not grievous.

Are God's commandments grievous to the body of Christ Jesus, which has the law of love written into its heart? No! The commandment of love is the life of the body of Christ Jesus, so why did John speak in this way?

From a legal stand point that the flesh always thinks in it would be a negative statements, but from God's love it becomes a righteous statement of truth that is in each member of the body of Christ Jesus, what does that mean?

It means the laws is for the wicked, not the righteous born into the life of Christ Jesus. When the flesh takes God's word the bible their natural confluence is to move into a body of law, that is, to see evil in others, then and legislated laws to protect their body of truth from fear of evil. Hence, this was the problem for the body of Christ Jesus by legal-weed-Christian's trying to make the body of Christ Jesus into needing the laws of the flesh for control and power over it.

John is saying why would you need to legislated laws for the wicked, the commandment of loving one another as Christ loves us, is part of the body of Christ Jesus, you are not the brain of the body, nor the will of the body, but a slave within the body. How can being in the body of Christ be grievous? How can a hand say to the body: “ your laws are grievous to my existence, I labor under slavery to the body a burden each day of my life”.

Romans 6:7 For he who has died has been freed from sin.

Colossians 2:20 If you died with Christ from the elements of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to ordinances,

Colossians 3:3 For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

No! and no, the laws of the body of Christ Jesus are not grievous these brothers and sisters were being mislead into another Good News, into slavery of sins laws creating a burden on them. Christ abolished the laws of sin, and death in resurrected imperishable life freely given them, they were freed from judgments of commandments, they had no sin in Christ Jesus, being declared righteous by the life of Christ they were apart of.

Ephesians 2:15 having abolished in the flesh the hostility, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man of the two, making peace;
