MAIN TALK UNDERSTANDING GOD THE SCRIPTURES

Daily Bible Thought > 1John 5:10 The Testimony In Himself?

1John 5:10 He who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself. He who doesn't believe God has made him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has given concerning his Son.

Testimony of what in him? The testimony of men in the person, the testimony of bible literature written in them through inculcation? What testimony is in us if we believe in the Son of God?

Moreover, what if we don't believe the testimony and go against it for the approval of men in a great position of teaching of religion? Here is the real point which is, the apostasy was starting, men enslaving the body of Christ Jesus to man-made religion, now thousand's of years removed from the apostle John's time, one is considered an apostate by organized religion if you don't first confess the religion, and than Christ Jesus as the standard of truth, not the testimony of God.

John was spot on, and we are the living proof of why John wrote his words as he did. Those men have over-sown the world with fleshly minded Christian making them weeds to the testimony John spoke of here. Yes, legal Christian's having the testimony of men, rather than the greater testimony of God proving they were in the truth, Christ Jesus. But instead they have the testimony of law in their hearts, not the law of love written into their hearts as promised by YHWH.

They fear the the living testimony of God in Christ Jesus as truth over their religious doctrinal teachings, they call anyone saying such things evil, and not of God, what the very words John calls the truth. This is how far the real apostasy has prevailed among mankind, so much so, Christ was moved to say: “When he returns will he find faith upon the earth?”
