1John 5:16 If anyone sees his brother sinning a sin not leading to death, he shall ask, and God will give him life for those who sin not leading to death. There is a sin leading to death. I don't say that he should make a request concerning this.
Sin caused death for the whole human race, can a person pray someone out of the sin from Adam so they never die at all? Well try as the may, it cannot be done, all die in their flesh because of the sin of Adam.
We may pray to extend a person life, but soon or later all pass into death, this sin we don't pray to remove. However, there is a sin for God's anointed that does not lead to death, what might that be? The minding of the flesh, fleshly thoughts that kills the Christ mind in us, this sin we can certainly pray for and about, why? Simply because God's judgment upon His anointed is not with death in view, but rather life.
The apostle John died, all the apostles died, pray as they may it still lead to death in their flesh upon earth. But many were their prayers for the body of Christ Jesus to fix the minds of God's children upon the things above, the mind of Christ Jesus, who is the wisdom of God.
1John 5:17 All unrighteousness is sin, and there is a sin not leading to death.
All unrighteousness is sin, is there a righteous man upon earth that does not sin? Well, only one Jesus Christ who became God's righteousness for us. No man has ever stood in his own righteousness before God, it cannot be done, but many have stood in Christ Jesus righteousness before God in faith.
Thus, the sin in man leads to death, because all sin and fall short of the glory of God, that is, God's glory, Christ Jesus. But we have a sin that does not lead too death, the sin of our minds that kills the Spirit of truth in us, which is the life of Christ Jesus. The two are opposed to each other, one is death the other is life. One is darkness made up of yeast from laws for the wicked, whereas, the other life made up from the laws of the Spirit, love.
Here than is the sin that does not lead to death in Christ Jesus, because God is love, and by the witness of the truth in anointed Christian's, that is, the imperishable life of Christ working in them conquers this would corruption from sin.
These sins of minding the flesh - thought of men below are the judgment for God's anointed killing the Spirit of Christ Jesus life in them where God must bring us back into the Christ by love, that is, applying the laws of Spirit so we may live in Christ Jesus.
