Daily Bible Thought > James 1:4 - Let Endurance Have Its Perfect Work?

James1:4 Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

Christ Jesus was made perfect in his faith by suffering in his flesh, our own flesh will not be saved, it is evil having sin, what is sin, it is missing the mark of God's love. The flesh is evil because it produce corruption and death, it cannot produce life. So being made perfect is not about self-will in our flesh, it about perfecting faith in spirit, the Spirit of God as our King.

Lacking nothing in what? In our flesh power to overcome life in the flesh, or lacking nothing in love, the perfection of our faith? If we are perfected in faith we are perfected in love for what our flesh, or YHWH our Spirit heavenly Father? This is the what separates us from our dead works of our flesh the testing in our flesh so we may know what is darkness, our fleshly thoughts, and what is light, God Holy Spirit, working in us by the life of Christ Jesus.

Romans 8:6 For the mind of the flesh is death, but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace;

We as God's children want to lack nothing in God's own goodness expressed to us by His love in Christ Jesus, we want perfection of prettiness in us, by the life of God's own Son, so we are will pleasing to God by our faith.

Meeting rules of some religious institution my make us appear righteous in our flesh, but it causes a lack in Holy Spirit, in the secret person of the heart God is forming in His children, unseen, and unknown by this world. The treasure stored in heaven are hidden from the eyes of fleshly mind who gain their reward by making a pleasing showing in their flesh in this world in seeking man's approval.
Romans 8:7 because the mind of the flesh is hostile towards God; for it is not subject to God's law, neither indeed can it be.
