James 1:7 For let that man not think that he will receive anything from the Lord. 1:8 He is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

Having a double mind is having a mind of Christ Jesus the head of the body, and a mind of the flesh the head of a body of law. The two are extremely opposed to each other, one light, the other darkness. Such is mans thinking that he can have a little of both, which is a corrupts of the whole mass of his own thinking into darkness while calling it light.

Galatians 5:9 A little yeast grows through the whole lump.

He cannot get a single thing from our Lord, because he will build upon it into a stinking mass of corruption, and then feed it too other body members. He is polluted, and prostituted into a false religion. He has taken yeast and its laws thinking he can bring them into the unleavened bread of God, Christ who is God's holy temple, the living word of God, and share it with its members, how foolish!

Rom.7:4 Therefore, my brothers, you also were made dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you would be joined to another, to him who was raised from the dead, that we might bring forth fruit to God. 7:5 For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were through the law, worked in our members to bring forth fruit to death. 7:6 But now we have been discharged from the law, having died to that in which we were held; so that we serve in newness of the spirit, and not in oldness of the letter.

Such a person is unstable in all their ways, he is double minded trying to have the world, and Christ by yeast teachings, why? Because he wants something for his lust of his flesh which is not provided in the Christ, so he mixes the teaching of Holy Spirit into laws created for sin, and/or the unrighteous sinful flesh and calls evil good.

This is the fleshly mind at work, the flesh cannot live in Christ Jesus, it must be killed, or it will kill the mind of Christ Jesus in us. But the fleshly mind thinks its smarter, so it mixes truth, and spirit with law of the flesh creating a religion of does and don't so it can nourished and strengthen the flesh by self-righteousness found in works of law calling such the Christ.

The double minded person cannot receive anything from the Lord, the Lord is not going to bring poison into His righteous imperishable body because a body member thinks it knows better than the head of his body, no! Let not this man think he will receive anything good in nourishment from the body because he has a fleshly mind dead to the Christ tossed like a wave of the sea.
