MAIN TALK UNDERSTANDING GOD THE SCRIPTURES

Daily Bible Thought > Matt.5:17 Destroy The Law - Fulfill It?

Matt.5:17 "Don't think that I came to destroy the law or the prophets. I didn't come to destroy, but to fulfill.

The legal mind steps into a mud-hole here so deep it cannot get out, the legal mind thinks first in fear and evil, because love cannot exist with evil or the the judgment of the fleshly mind towards God's word. How does one not destroy the law if they fulfill it and sets it aside?

For the legal mind it cannot, its one in the same, but for those walking in the identifying mark of Christ Jesus New-Covenant its is an easy thing to understand, and what is that? Simply put, we have all fulfilled contracts in our lives paid off the price of a contract, does the contract still exist when its paid off, its the terms of the contract still valid once we pay it off? Are the obligations of the contract still imposed upon us, or are they abolished once we pay of the contract.

Did Christ pay off the contract of the Old Covenant or not? Will if he did pay it off for us, we are not under its obligations, its terms are abolishes for us. Christ Jesus did not become a law breaker in not keeping the Law of Moses, or he would have been a sinner, no! Christ came to fulfill the Old-Contract by his righteous blood, not our unrighteous blood having sin making us a contract breakers, yes, that it right we never could keep the Old-Covenant as a sinner, we could not even enter into the race for life because we are disqualify by the rules of the game. A sinner cannot keep the Law of Moses they must have a atonement for their sins, one Gods says atones for our sin of breaking his righteous Law.

Christ did not need atonement, he did not need forgiveness for breaking God's righteous laws, hence, it took his righteous blood to fulfill, that is, pay off the Old-Contract. That was the price God placed upon its payment, one we could not make and require God to pay off for us.
