MAIN TALK UNDERSTANDING GOD THE SCRIPTURES

Daily Bible Thought > Matt.5:19 - Least In The Kingdom Breaking The Law?

Matt.5:19 Whoever, therefore, shall break one of these least commandments, and teach others to do so, shall be called least in the Kingdom of Heaven; but whoever shall do and teach them shall be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven.

The Scribes and Pharisee's believed they were the kings of God's Kingdom the seed of Abraham, they were righteous by God's law, but not one of them, did not break the law, as do all sinners, so how could they be great in the kingdom of God, was Christ Jesus a liar?

Well, the Pharisee's and Scribes, taught the law, and punished those not obeying their teachings of the law, including Christ Jesus himself. So they thought themselves righteous by enforcing the law, but what stood before them was a witness of their own unrighteousness, the blood, put upon the altar of God for their sins. Yes the blood testified against their self-righteousness, for without the blood, they could not stand before God right.

They were least in the kingdom, moreover, they were hypocrites by teaching others they could enter into the Kingdom of God by obeying the law which no sinner could do. But what of legally minded Christian's that teach a polluted version of the New-Covenant by legal works of their religious organization? They too are least in the Kingdom of God, why? Because it was not the Pharisee's righteousness that opened the Kingdom of God for mankind, nor legally minded Christian's, but the righteous blood of Christ Jesus fulfilling the Old-Covenant.

Without teaching the truth of Christ Jesus righteous blood a person is no more than a Pharisee's, who taught one could keep the law by their own good efforts, which was a lie. No! It required God's good efforts in providing the innocent victims blood for us breaking the law as a sinner.

Why would a person steal the position of Christ - returning to the mundane self-righteousness of the Pharisee's? Control, and power over others, and self-glorification by their personal goodness in works in the name of Christianity. This is the pried Christ spoke of weed-Christian's believing they can muster enough righteousness by good works to be in the Kingdom of God, but they are least, and those listening too their teachings are also least in God's eyes. For it is true ones righteousness must exceed that of Scribes and Pharisee's one must have the righteousness of Christ Jesus to enter into the Kingdom of God.
