MAIN TALK UNDERSTANDING GOD THE SCRIPTURES

Daily Bible Thought > Matt.5:24 - First Be Reconciled With Your Brother

Matt.5:24 leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.

Should not common sense reprove us? In our coming to the altar of mercy asking God forgiveness while demanding payment from the same law for a debt due us by our brothers sin?

How stupid can the law blind us into self-righteousness? When the very law proved we were not righteous. How proud can a person be in their legal mind to judge others unworthy of life, while coming to the altar of God for forgiveness of their own unrighteous judgment, causing them a lack of peace with God?

How can one have peace with God who makes peace with those under the Old Law through the blood of animal victims, and than have no peace with their brother in not forgiving them by the same blood? One cannot, not unless they are a blinded like a Scribe, or Pharisee's of the law, whom believed they were made righteous by the law.

How twisted has a legal Christian's mind become in not understanding the very words of the person they claim to honor, and worship Jesus Christ? This is the power of fleshly thinking that a person believes they can prove themselves right before God by keeping the Law, which could never be kept by a sinners. This is the sickness of the flesh mind that believes they can prove themselves righteous by good feelings through good works of organized religion and/or commandments.

Christ Jesus fulfilled the Law of God for us which needed animal blood in appeasing God's anger for not keeping His commandments. Now we are under the law of freedom, love, by Christ blood. How does one appease sinning against a law fulfilled in Christ blood, which is even higher standard of moral excellence that none of us can keep, the law of love? Certainly not by judging our brother through rules and laws of some man-made organization, and or commandments using animal blood; wondering why we have no peace with God, but rather fear of judgment?
