James 2:10 For whoever keeps the whole law, and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all.
How can this be, the legal minded Christian's really does not understand how breaking the least commandment of God breaks them all, why? Simply because those of the flesh and its mind believe without a doubt that sin stop by obeying the commandments, but does it?
Not according to James this it the real point hidden to the self-righteous its meaning? That if you are a sinner you cannot keep the God's commandment's none of them being a sinner, the only person ever to keep God's commandments was Christ Jesus. The fact you are a sinners disqualifies you from keeping the commandments.
How does a person know that, very simple, God provided the blood of animals to atone for sin, one could not say: “God I have kept all your commandments”, and than not sacrifice the blood of innocent victim upon the altar. Without the blood one was unrighteous before God, the blood was the remission of their sin, sin against what? The commandments of God.
We are all sinners and cannot be right without blood, why? Because we are a sinner, hence, we break the commandments of God, so let us get James words in context to the truth. James is saying that we break one commandment we break them all. This has been turned into a legal minded argument that says we can keep some of them, no!
We are a sinner because we sin we need the blood of Christ Jesus we are flawed as a sinner and because we break a commandment and keep some of them does not make us right before God without the blood of Christ Jesus. If you can keep one than you can keep all, but if you break one you break them all, but the blood tells you, you can't keep any of them that is why Christ Jesus blood abolished the law and it judgment against you.
Now you and me must accept the life of the one person that did keep the commandments, Christ Jesus. This gift comes from God's love too us freely by our faith in Christ Jesus merit and not our own. Christ earned what we could never earn as a sinner by keeping God's commandments without sin, he than substitutes his life for our life, blocking out our deserved judgments.
