James 2:23 and the Scripture was fulfilled which says, "Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him as righteousness;"{Genesis 15:16} and he was called the friend of God.
Let a Christian's sobered up here and think truth and Spirit free of the drunken stupor of false religion, which mixes is own self-goodness into works of law. One cannot be a friend of God by works of law, why? The law was given to punish the wicked, not too be a friend of God, whom God declares Abraham righteous by faith.
Abraham loved God, and proved his love by faith, what does this mean? It mean if Abraham had looked to the law that are for punishing the wicked, he would have declared God wicked for telling him to kill his own son, would he have not? Did Abraham looked to the law and says: “I am righteous man that will never break your laws LORD, I will not kill my son, this commandment is from the demons!”
No! Abraham did not do that, he instead put faith in God's “goodness”, not his own judgment by righteous laws, now did he? Abraham trusted that God is good and not evil, and his trust proved he was God's friend. Do you actually understand true friendship that it does not first imply evil, but rather looks for the good in a person to keep the friendship. When people look to rule of law they have no friends, instead they have enemies in which they don't trust to do the right thing, so what do they do? They judge that person with laws made for wicked people, not friends, whom lovew us. They see the evil in the person so they can justify there actions in hating them by laws that allows for such hate of our enemies.
What had been given as a gift, than becomes evil, how? By the receiver imagining by laws of evil they have earned a free gift of love given too them out of friendship. Twisting our love into a obligation making us evil. This one point is what legal minded Christian's miss completed in James talking about faith and works. They twist a free gift of God's love into a legal obligation too prove themselves righteous by works of laws. Declaring God as evil in their own hearts and too all they teach. But they do not have a friend in God, they do not love God, why? Because they uses laws instead using laws for the wicked and than claim others one must obey those laws instead of faith, which please God, something Abraham did not do!
James 1:13 Let no man say when he is tempted, "I am tempted by God," for God can't be tempted by evil, and he himself tempts no one. 1:14 But each one is tempted, when he is drawn away by his own lust, and enticed. 1:15 Then the lust, when it has conceived, bears sin; and the sin, when it is full grown, brings forth death. 1:16 Don't be deceived, my beloved brothers. 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation, nor turning shadow.
