James 3:12 Can a fig tree, my brothers, yield olives, or a vine figs? Thus no spring yields both salt water and fresh water.
Here is a basic truth James speak too! What does nature teach us, are we blind? Is a cat a cat, a dog a dog, a fig tree a fig tree, or is it an olive tree? Why so much confusion among Christian's as to who is or isn't a Christian's for some two thousand's years?
It is because they are judging by standards that are not “in Christ Jesus”, what does this mean? It means they are judging by rule of laws that are not Christ, it that simple. Christian's are judging by laws of the flesh, which in turns blinds them into a state of confusion of whom Christ Jesus is? James letter is about the Royal law of love, not the laws of the flesh, which are dead in Christ Jesus. James is saying: “those in Christ Jesus produce the life of Christ Jesus, there is no mystery here.”
Romans 8:13 For if you live after the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.
Christ Jesus is the one good tree producing good fruit of righteousness of God's Holy Spirit, if its not a good fruit, it not of Christ Jesus. Now if your “in Christ Jesus” grafted into his life than you are producing good fruit. However, it is the mouth, which justifies bad fruit of the flesh that is confusing you into not even knowing what a fig tree is? God does not justify your bad fruit from your fleshly rules of laws, God does not say; “if you do enough good it will earn you merit so that I over look the bad!”
No! Christ is God merit for us, God gives us the gift of unmerited kindness and we must accept Christ is good enough by his works to justify our evil sin with atonement by his precious blood. Stop confusing yourselves with a religious mouth that compares fruit you are doing against another human that are sinner, rather repent, do good, allowing Christ too work through you in God's Holy Spirit.
John 15:4 Remain in me, and I in you. As the branch can't bear fruit by itself, unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you, unless you remain in me. 15:5 I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.
