Matt.6:25 Therefore, I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing?

What is your hand worth on your body? Would you let it starve? Will you mistreat it, and give it no attention when it needs help from our body? Are you a member of the fleshly body, and its mind having cruel and unusual laws that defy the law of love in Christ Jesus? If so you simply cannot know or trust God that Christ will take care of his body members, just as we human do, although, we are sinners.

Romans 8:6 For the mind of the flesh is death, but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace.

This is Christ Jesus point here; does your own body member live in anxious fear of not getting help from the natural rhythm of the body like blood and water? Does the hand live in fear of the evil intention of our brain? How foolish is the legal mind that distrust everyone and everything in its world, and than applies this foolish wisdom to God and Christ Jesus, how can the fleshly mind rest in God's love, when it is full of hate and fear? It can't!

Romans 8:5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.

The fleshly mind is opposed to Christ Jesus, it is dead in the spiritual body of Christ Jesus where love rules supreme. How weak, and anxious is the fleshly mind towards God's promises? It can't stand at all by faith, walking on water, because it has no faith in anything it can't see, earn, or build with its two hands. It is a mind dead to faith, it is mind build by personal efforts, so it twist every scripture in the bible into a law to justify its lack of faith by personal power in providing for itself, denying the very words Christ just spoke above; it logic itself into death, wrangling Christ words into a legal contract for payment by personal efforts rewarded by it own hard work!

Romans 8:8 Those who are in the flesh can't please God.

The flesh mind is a legal mind set upon death too Christ mind, and is in a constant state of distrust, which causes it too be in anxious care. What it cannot earn by its own efforts it calls a lie! So ultimately, it teaches and believes Christ is liar when he tells us not to be anxious, he will take care of us, just as a hand, or an foot is taken care of by it own body.

Ehp.5:29 For no man ever hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord also does the assembly;
