Daily Bible Thought > Matt,6:30 - Comforted or Denial?

Matt.6:30 But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won't he much more clothe you, you of little faith?

If we could roll back the visible heavens and see into the invisible heavens of God's throne surround by a rainbow of perfect peace we would never again fear that God was in control, and that He would forget us, but we cannot do that!

What we are, are people of flesh, with little faith, sometimes a person comes into our lives that has more faith seemingly than us and we can appreciate how distrusting we are of God. But is this Christ Jesus point? Well, yes, and no, Christ in all his teachings points to the highest standards, but he also being the Son of God knew no human could meet those standards, or live in them each day of their life, wouldn't it be nice if it just ended their with our fallen flesh, an no excuses too justify the lie?

Why point to the highest standards when God knew we could not meet them in the first place? Well, lets stop for one minute as we think; this is why God sent His Son so we could me those standards. Next let us realize the truth about our fallen flesh that it is a liar not admitting its true conditions because of fear of rejection of other human.

So our fleshly mind is taught from the time of birth by our parents and the world to never say no, instead be proud, boast, and certainly never quit! But when a person approaches God in this manner they are haughty, and God hates a haughty heart. Now if you don't have a haughty heart, or the heart of an attorney, finding ways a round the rule of law by clever wording, than you and me are condemn by Christ Jesus words as a sinner. Hence, we must humble ourselves and ask for God's mercy each day. We can never be proud, we can never boast, nor can we ever says, what Christ Jesus says is less or more important, again like an attorney, we can accept the truth of our true condition and get God unmerited kindness, or conversely, we teach others we are a better sinner today because we can keep some of God's word after becoming a Christian, which is of course, a deception and a lie of the fleshly mind.
