James 4:2 You lust, and don't have. You kill, covet, and can't obtain. You fight and make war. You don't have, because you don't ask.

The fleshly mind produces fruit of the flesh in lust, wars, covetousness, and fights. When the fleshly mind is alive there is no doubt for those in Christ Jesus; just witness the fruits in your own heart; don't be fooled, God is not both light and darkness, good and evil. But the fleshly mind will not go away it must be put to death by whom? By the life of Christ, which fruits are sown in peace, and reasonableness - for those making peace.

Galatians 6:7 Don't be deceived. God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.

James 1:16 Don't be deceived, my beloved brothers. 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation, nor turning shadow.

But the fleshly mind cannot stop defending itself to justify why its is doing evil to others, so what does it do? It uses God's righteous word to give veracity to its evil lust, which is from the demons, not from above, from the God of love. Yes, the fleshly mind will use God's word to give itself rights to judge others so it can justify these evils James here mentions above.

James 1:26 If anyone among you thinks himself to be religious while he doesn't bridle his tongue, but deceives his heart, this man's religion is worthless.


The fleshly mind will boldly call out to God to kill their enemies with the sword of his mouth while lying hiding its own evil in its heart. It will blind itself by hate, what hate? Hate for those breaking the rules of its religion, using words from the bible. The fleshly mind is self-righteous without fear of the evil in it own heart, which James says is from below, and from the demons! But still it can't imagine that it is evil because of the transgression of some rule of law.

James 1:20 for the anger of man doesn't produce the righteousness of God.

Here James set all those in Christ Jesus straight. If you have these fruits they are not from God no matter how right or righteous you think you are, they are evil and darkness.

James 3:14 But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, don't boast and don't lie against the truth.
