MAIN TALK UNDERSTANDING GOD THE SCRIPTURES

Daily Bible Thought > Matt.7:1 - Don't Judge!

Matt.7:1 "Don't judge, so that you won't be judged.

Such simple straight forward unconfused words of Christ Jesus: “Don't judge, so that you won't be judged.” Sadly, most Christian's thinks Christ mean a person can judge by the bible, and not be judged, but he did not say that, what he did says was not to judge!

First, the Scribes and Pharisee's used God's word to judge Christ, and his disciples. Christ states a universal rule of law that no human being can deny, accept by lying about the truth. If you judge you will be judged, good or bad, it that simple. If you think you are exempt from Christ words here because of your religion you are sincerely mislead. This truth Christ Jesus spoke as God's truth too us, affects all human's not just those not Christian's, or not of our faith.

So the question each of us must face, what law do we judge by? This is important because it will determine our own judgment in this life and next.

James 2:8 However, if you fulfill the royal law, according to the Scripture, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself,"{Leviticus 19:18} you do well. 2:9 But if you show partiality, you commit sin, being convicted by the law as transgressors. 2:10 For whoever keeps the whole law, and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all. 2:11 For he who said, "Do not commit adultery,"{Exodus 20:14; Deuteronomy 5:18} also said, "Do not commit murder."{Exodus 10:13; Deuteronomy 5:17} Now if you do not commit adultery, but murder, you have become a transgressor of the law. 2:12 So speak, and so do, as men who are to be judged by a law of freedom.
2:13 For judgment is without mercy to him who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.
Do we judge by the one, and only law Christ Jesus gave us, the Royal Law of the King, YHWH, from the God of love, love? Do we honestly know what love is as a law? If so we will have no judgments that will hurt us, but if we don't, we will find ourselves in a constant state of judging, and being judged by other humans.

The fleshly mind under sins, and its laws is a legal mind that judges and cannot stop judging, it is not the mind of Christ Jesus ruled by peace from the law of love. Love does not take, it does not protect its own interest from fear of loosing a possession rather that be pride, or a material things. In fact, love puts fear outside, but when we judge from the fleshly minds, we will be judged, and this is Christ Jesus point here, nothing more! Christ Jesus was soon to take away God's judgment through the Law, and replace it with a new covenant by God's love written into each Christian's heart, but the question is what law do you judge by?

Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don't walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.{NU omits "who don't walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit"}

Christian's using laws of sin, will get back the same judgment back, and those Christian's using the law of love, will get back the same law of love, it that simple. One is pain, the other a blessing, one is deception of righteousness, and the other really is Christ Jesus righteousness.

Romans 7:5 For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were through the law, worked in our members to bring forth fruit to death.

1 Peter 4:8 And above all things be earnest in your love among yourselves, for love covers a multitude of sins.
