Daily Bible Thought > James 4:6 Grace Resisting The Proud?

James 4:6 But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble."{Proverbs 3:34}

Here is James point, it very simple, it is the truth of all of God's word, and what is that? No human can save themselves by self-efforts, which includes so call Christian's that teach by meeting the commandments they can stand on their own two feet before God as righteous, which is a lie!

Why is this a lie, because all human have a yearning towards jealousy, sin, hence, they break all the commandments before they start into the race for life. The only way a sinner can be in the race for life is because of Christ Jesus righteousness that did not yearn jealousy in his spirit, and God's undeserved kindness in giving Christ life in place of ours, so we can be in the race for life.

We stand in nothing, but faith in God's goodness, not our own, we do not gain salvation because we associated with something mankind calls holy from a priest to and organized religion boasting in their own flesh that they are God's chosen channel, how do we know that? It is because all men and woman are sinner having a spirit towards jealousy which makes them a liars. It is not in vain that the scriptures warn us of this truth in us, it is rather in hope we will live in God's grace towards truth.
