James 5:1 Come now, you rich, weep and howl for your miseries that are coming on you.
Why does James attack the rich, are the rich evil, worst than others? No, they are not, but its is the self-reliant attitude that goes 180-degrees the opposite of a slave in Christ Jesus, which is the fleshly mind hostile to the mind of Christ Jesus.
Those in Christ Jesus, that is, as his body member having the mind of Christ Jesus are not self-reliant they are instead slaves of the body waiting in full faith like the birds of the heaven trusting God will take care of them as his children, just as he did Christ Jesus upon earth, but there is more.
Each body member is ambassadors for Christ substituting for him upon earth because they have the life of Christ Jesus working in them and through them. They are spirit led persons just like a spirit person not a fleshly mind person because their flesh is dead in Christ. For them to take back their life and seek riches upon earth is the same as comparing earthly things, material things, against what? The incorruptible life they have in them by the Christ Jesus own incorruptible life.
This incomprehensible attitude was being allowed in the body of Christ honored and idolized as it is found every where within the fleshly mind of weed Christian's world. So James speaks the truth of the rich how they are harsh and unloving for the golden dollar they will sell their own eternal life and make slaves of other men/woman to make themselves a god upon earth to live a life of luxury. They are the ones dragging others before Courts to get the one little penny, while Christian's lets themselves be wrong over.
The sad truth if they could have employed Christ they would have happily enslaved him to make themselves rich not even knowing the king of eternity was in their very mist.
