Daily Bible Thought > James 5:4- Holding up Wages?

James 5:4 Behold, the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you have kept back by fraud, cry out, and the cries of those who reaped have entered into the ears of the Lord of Armies{Greek: Sabaoth (for Hebrew: Tze'va'ot)}.

Here is often the truth of rich they make themselves into an idol, by believing their own lust for luxury is more important than basic needs of their worker. They deprive food, and basic things a person needs to live, to maintain their check book as a certain balance of creature comfort.

Yes, denying the wages of their workers to do so! But James warns that such unrighteous conduct does not go unnoticed by the Lord, whom knows the little one, and gave his life for them. Christ Judges the entire world not upon being rich, with a powerful position, but rather how you treat the least one of his brothers, and where were they to be found? Not in luxury, having others waiting upon them hand and foot, not holding up deserved wages of works, but sick, in prison, and hungry.

Christ brothers are despised by whom? The rich of the world, having no standing in their intimate groups of friend. They were despised looked down upon, as no part of this world, just as Christ himself was treated by the rich. Yes, not a great act of giving up riches for Christ Jesus brother, but a simple act of kindness, a cup of water, determined the truth of ones heart towards the Great God of Mercy whom sent us His kindness in the blood of Christ Jesus.
