MAIN TALK UNDERSTANDING GOD THE SCRIPTURES

Daily Bible Thought > Matt.7:22- Might Works?

Matt.7:22 Many will tell me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, didn't we prophesy in your name, in your name cast out demons, and in your name do many mighty works?'

Mighty works? Where does such power come from if not from God? How could people be so blinded while being a Christian's? Isn't being a Christian's about upholding God's righteous laws?

Well, the history of people claiming to be God's people by upholding God's righteous law in the bible is not so good, but why? It is because they become self-righteous and end up working for the wicked one. Shocking, yes! It is shocking that those whom have the greatest zeal for God's law end up killing God's prophets, even the Son of God, thinking they are doing a sacred service for God.

A person loving God must understand when morals are gone, meaning when people don't want to do good towards neighbor all that is left is law to judge their neighbor, and/or brothers and sisters. What morals, the moral of being humble in knowing that no person can be made righteous by upholding laws, they are made moral with a righteous standing before God by blood of an innocent victim, not from their good acts towards law.

Here than is why Jesus stated many would think they are righteous by obeying some rule of law in their religion - getting help through powerful spirit being that give them the illusion their powerful works are from God, but they are actually lawless outside of Christ Jesus. Yes, lawless, without what law, the law of Christ Jesus the Royal law of love, did you catch that? That one cannot be righteous or have a standing with God by obeying rule of law, they can only be righteous in being forgiven of their sins for not keeping God's laws perfectly. These Christian's had deceived themselves by doing some good work thinking it would cover their sins, but they had been deceived and supported by the power of wicked one doing his bidding because they had deny righteousness comes from Christ Jesus life imputed too them by God's undeserved kindness.
