Matt.7:25 The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat on that house; and it didn't fall, for it was founded on the rock.
Each Christian's must ask themselves what it means that the floods, and winds blew which beat against the house, but its didn't not fall? It sounds as though we must be tough, we must be strong, and we must survive ourselves, it this what Christ Jesus advocates here in his words?
Those are fair questions in light of all Christ spoke in his sermon on the mount, he spoke about not being anxious, and not toiling for food of clothing, he spoke that we should trust our heavenly Father that even evil people gave their children good gifts; so is he now contradicting his own statements?
1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has punishment. He who fears is not made perfect in love.
So here it is well that we understand if we interpret the scriptures from a law mind, that is, a fleshly mind we will come up short each and every time, we will make it our own personal efforts by our good works to gain salvation. In other words, each verse will have to be taken out of context standing on its own merit by a legal definition. However, it will contradict many other verses only leaving us doubt, and fear of judgment. So what is Christ speaking too here? He is speaking to the truth of all his words, which requires faith in him alone, and none other, not even ourselves, so we don't build a house in Christ name expecting him to condone evil because of our good intentions.
Here than is truth many, not few, will take Christ words and build a life upon this earth, that is, a house of works throughout their life time believing because there is placed a sign above its door saying: “I am Christian's, Christ built this house.” So that it is protected, but no God only protects one house upon earth through the judgments, and that is the body of Christ Jesus which has no judgment. If we are not building within that house of God, our works will come to a violent end.
John 3:15 that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
