MAIN TALK UNDERSTANDING GOD THE SCRIPTURES

Daily Bible Thought > 1Cor.4:3 - Jugde by You?

1Cor.4:3 But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged by you, or by man's judgment. Yes, I don't judge my own self.

Why do Christian's constantly justify themselves to everyone? They are in a constant state of explaining why they do what they are doing, backing it up with God's word. However, anybody that knows them personally have eyes to see what they are doing? Well, their justifying themselves by the uses of God's word so they appear to be a Christian. The world does the same thing, instead they use the rule of law, rule of a certain business, or their own personal rules, to prove they are right.

But Paul didn't care what others thought of him, not even his own judgment was enough according to the Christ, but why? Because no Christian is justify by their own judgment, or their teachings, nor their good works, they are in fact justified by what Christ Jesus did while on earth in their behalf. This means one can use all the scriptures they want on any levels to justify their position, but it will not justify them before God. Yes, they will be justified before men that are fleshly, but not Jehovah God. Paul like all body members had no judgment against him in Christ Jesus, why? Because Christ Jesus has no judgment against him by anything man can contrive.

Rom.8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don't walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.{NU omits "who don't walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit"}

Thus, being made part of the body of Christ they received all of what is the bodies, including it sinless state and the imperishable life of Christ Jesus. Now they must stop justifying themselves by lesser laws and rules of groups and rest in the Christ, God greater Sabbath day. If they refused to rest in Christ then they will be in a constant state of justifying themselves before man, only proving they have a lack of faith in what Christ Jesus has done for them. Faith is proved in resting in what God has provided to justify us into a right standing for sinning against His law of love. When one is constantly justifying themselves they simply don't believe they are justified by God's Son, they have a lack of faith, and are trying to make up the difference by works of law, teachings, or whatever else out of fear of God's judgments.

Heb.4:9 There remains therefore a Sabbath rest for the people of God.
4:10 For he who has entered into his rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from his.

However, if they would rest in God legal provision found in the Son of God, they would have no fear of judgment, based on Christ worthiness, and not their own justification, not in works they perform to prove they are right with God. This requires faith and the type of faith that pleases God, not justifying ourselves.

1John 4:16 We know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and he who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him. 4:17 In this love has been made perfect among us, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment, because as he is, even so are we in this world. 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has punishment. He who fears is not made perfect in love.
