Luke13:34 "Jerusalem, Jerusalem, that kills the prophets, and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, like a hen gathers her own brood under her wings, and you refused!
A word should correct the wise of heart, but a fool never see the pattern of evil among those seating themselves as gods over others, now do they? No they don't because that is the pried of being a leader, that is the arrogance of being in power, to claim yourself as smarter and better than others, how could they murder the prophets they were the prophets according to their evaluation of their teachings, correct?
But the Son of God, states that they had killed all God's prophets and were soon to kill him. This is as shocking as telling a religious organization of people meeting at a large convention: “you people are the killer of God's prophets.” How could that be, we are here to honor Christ Jesus with us is the great teachers of our time, whom are always doing righteous acts towards others.
What is the point? History, human sin never changes, it repeats itself from generation too generation, as nothing new under the sun when it comes to a heart of sin. Technology changes, new invention, but not the hearts that create them, they always put themselves in the best position the fleshly mind always believes it is God's chosen, the fleshly mind always justifies its evil actions with some good work, and it is always blinded to the truth of God. Nothing within Christ words could or would changes those whom put themselves into God's position by their religious teachings, nothing! But Christ Jesus was not looking for such ones to be part of his Kingdom, he was looking for those that would seek the truth, and his righteous, repent from being a sinner, and accept the free gift of God's love, his life by undeserved kindness. Christ was not looking for those whom think they deserve by personal goodness, no! They were the killer of all God's prophets no matter what title they had put upon themselves, as God's people!
