John 4:11 The woman said to him, "Sir, you have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. From where then have you that living water?
The well of Jesus Christ is deep and never ending full of the wisdom of God. So profound was this woman statements she neither knew or understood what she had just stated. Such waters could not be drawn up by human goodness nor works they could perform for God, they would simply die trying! Only the Christ could get this woman what her soul longed for, living waters, but Christ would have to give up his most precious gift, his life for this woman.
Did Christ love his Father more than this life? Here than was what Satan hoped would not be true of Christ Jesus, just as he had tripped up another sinless man Adam for the love of a woman. Christ was this woman only hope, Eves only hope was that Adam had stayed faithful to God willing to forsake her too redeem her sin against God, but as history states, Adam failed. But Christ Jesus would not, he would becomes God's greatest gift to mankind the living waters unpolluted by mankind sins, as water that would heal all the nations of our earth, a water that would wipe every tear from mankind's eyes where death would be no more.
Yes, these waters were very deep, so deep, no human could pay the price for the perfect life Adam had lost for them, only God could, like Abraham did in giving such an unspeakable gift to the human race by allowing his enemies to destroy the precious life of his own Son Christ Jesus. Here we must pause and take serious consideration of the gift of God. Let us not despise it, let us not dole it out like some evil religious empire governed by sinful men whom dole out the forgiveness of God by legal measure. Hence, let us not deprive anyone of the undeserved kindness of Christ Jesus as God free gift of life's waters. But rather let us do as the very Spirit of God tells us too do:
Revelation 22:17 The Spirit and the bride say, "Come!" He who hears, let him say, "Come!" He who is thirsty, let him come. He who desires, let him take the water of life freely.
