MAIN TALK UNDERSTANDING GOD THE SCRIPTURES

Daily Bible Thought > Rom.11:2-5 - God Didn't Reject His People?

Rom.11:2 God didn't reject his people, which he foreknew. Or don't you know what the Scripture says about Elijah? How he pleads with God against Israel: 11:3 "Lord, they have killed your prophets, they have broken down your altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life."{1 Kings 19:10,14} 11:4 But how does God answer him? "I have reserved for myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to Baal."{1 Kings 19:18} 11:5 Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.

Many Christian's today are associated with some group claiming to be the Israel of God, but at the same time having anything on its branches that prove their fruit are Christ Jesus fruit which has no evil upon it.

Matt.7:16 By their fruits you will know them. Do you gather grapes from thorns, or figs from thistles? 7:17 Even so, every good tree produces good fruit; but the corrupt tree produces evil fruit.

This thinking than filters down into all they read in the bible applying to the religion they are associated with as God's organization, subsequently, God must save it, or at least some of its members so they endure in endless abuse of power hoping for changes, it this what Paul was stating here? No!

Revelation 18:4 I heard another voice from heaven, saying, "Come out of her, my people, that you have no participation in her sins, and that you don't receive of her plagues.

God only had one physical nation upon earth, Israel, he did not form another physical body of men to rule over the body of Christ Jesus as leaders. He instead took a faithful remnant, a small group by comparison to the millions that had been the physical Israel and poured out Holy Spirit upon them anointing them as a spiritual body of Christ Jesus.

There is nothing wrong with praying for those in religion hoping God will at His own good pleasure opens their eyes to the grace of God, but today, God commands us to come out of false religion come up to the Christ and worship in His Spiritual mountain not found on earth, but instead by faith. This is what causes united, when men and woman stop looking at flesh, and what is flesh? It is the flesh of religion and not looking to Christ in faith.

Here than God will give them Holy Spirit and the uniting bond of peace, but why and how? It is because grace, that is, unmerited kindness, and/or undeserved kindness does not judge flesh and blood by laws promoting more wickedness and sin in us. Grace walks in love, the law of Christ Jesus which looks for the good, and hopes all things and believes all things because those having it have themselves been saved by no goodness of their own, but redeemed by the Christ faithful life given freely from God's love.

Titus. 3:3 For we were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.
3:4 But when the kindness of God our Savior and his love toward mankind appeared,
3:5 not by works of righteousness, which we did ourselves, but according to his mercy, he saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit,
3:6 whom he poured out on us richly, through Jesus Christ our Savior;
3:7 that, being justified by his grace, we might be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Grace cannot reject any of Israel nor for that matter the Gentles this is Paul's point don't impute evil to God, believe that He alone is good, rest in faith that nothing with his people goes unfinished.
