Rom.11:19 You will say then, "Branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in." 11:20 True; by their unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by your faith. Don't be conceited, but fear; 11:21 for if God didn't spare the natural branches, neither will he spare you. 11:22 See then the goodness and severity of God. Toward those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in his goodness; otherwise you also will be cut off. 11:23 They also, if they don't continue in their unbelief, will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again.
Paul's words here have haunted Christian's for thousand's of years, if God broke off branches for the Gentiles, so they could be grafted into spiritual Israel, than can person lose their salvation once being made a part of Christ Jesus?
There are but two camps of thinking on this matter, and they are: yes, and no! So in fairness, each group has powerful arguments for or against this subject. However, our understanding the power of the our fleshly mind in it being quick too label a group, and than put people into certain groups; declaring them evil, and/or wicked, is the very much the nature of every fleshly mind. Moreover, and its religion, and/or governments, created by same fleshly mind from Adam's sins producing weed laws of and for sin, in protecting everything from property, to our souls in this life.
1 Corinthians 5:6 Your boasting is not good. Don't you know that a little yeast leavens the whole lump?
Christ himself spoke of being the true vine, and casting those not producing his fruits into the fire to be burnt up, and than we have the apostle Paul giving us more information about this same subject in the book of First Corinthian; where he states that an anointed person judgment is not with death in view, but life. Moreover, Paul explains further, those in Christ Jesus who build fleshly things outside of the body of Christ by their own self-will, not Christ will, these works are going to be destroyed, brunt up, however, not the person, he will be saved as through fire!
In other words, in context; the fruit on true vine of Christ, the fruit on his branches are owned by Christ. Hence, all other works not of his life force, will be revealed by fire, and destroyed, but not the person in Christ, they will be saved!. Furthermore, Paul states here in this part of Roman's that Israel whom were broken off can still be grafted back into spiritual Israel by faith.
John 15:1-7, 1Cor.3:11-15, 1Cor.11:25-33.
What than are we too take away from the context of these scriptures regarding our salvation in Christ? That there are important points, which goes beyond law and judging of who is. or is not, a branch on the spiritual Israel of God, and what are these points?
1.) there can be no boasting in works of law, because most of Israel was broken off for just such conduct. 2.) it is by Faith in Christ, which is the only way to stay an active fruit bearing branch in Christ, and not by works of law. 3.) there can be no self-boasting as a single branches, because it was not through a personal faith from our old self that were grafted into the holy tree, but, rather a collective faith given too each branches member in Christ making them active as fruit bears too God's glory.
1 Corinthians 5:8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old yeast, neither with the yeast of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
Rom.12:1 Therefore I urge you, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service. 12:2 Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God. 12:3 For I say, through the grace that was given me, to every man who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think reasonably, as God has apportioned to each person a measure of faith.
Christian's cut people off in judgment over the simplest things, they condemn others into eternal damnation for not agreeing with their biblical point of view, they will kill over a teachings. But Paul, on the other hand, leaves each person hanging, as too such judgments under who's authority? Is it men/woman two thousand's years removed from the Christ that make such judgments? Why does he do so under Holy Spirit, to test hearts will they judge correctly, or evilly?
Can a Christian's honestly say that they aren't like any other group of fleshly thinking person making judgments from an agenda? Here is the point, how far will God go in redeeming his children, who are born again into His beloved Son Christ Jesus? How far will He yet go into redeeming Israel, can any person honestly say?
Rom.8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Could oppression, or anguish, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 8:36 Even as it is written, "For your sake we are killed all day long. We were accounted as sheep for the slaughter."{Psalm 44:22} 8:37 No, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 8:38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 8:39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
If parents whom Christ called evil, that is, having sin, knows how too give good gifts too their children, who of us would be so bold too judge a child of God evil by laws that we are condemned by? Whom would break off a branch on the tree of Christ for their own judgment of good and evil like Adam and Eve judged? Which person in all humility would not do exactly what the apostle Paul stated under Holy Spirit leaving the matter where God Himself place it?
1Cor.4:4 For I know nothing against myself. Yet I am not justified by this, but he who judges me is the Lord. 4:5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and reveal the counsels of the hearts. Then each man will get his praise from God.
