MAIN TALK UNDERSTANDING GOD THE SCRIPTURES

Daily Bible Thought > Luke.13:10-17 Evil Eye Declares Righteous Blood Wicked?

Luke.13:10 He was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath day. 13:11 Behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and she was bent over, and could in no way straighten herself up. 13:12 When Jesus saw her, he called her, and said to her, "Woman, you are freed from your infirmity." 13:13 He laid his hands on her, and immediately she stood up straight, and glorified God. 13:14 The ruler of the synagogue, being indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, said to the multitude, "There are six days in which men ought to work. Therefore come on those days and be healed, and not on the Sabbath day!" 13:15 Therefore the Lord answered him, "You hypocrites! Doesn't each one of you free his ox or his donkey from the stall on the Sabbath, and lead him away to water? 13:16 Ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan had bound eighteen long years, be freed from this bondage on the Sabbath day?" 13:17 As he said these things, all his adversaries were disappointed, and all the multitude rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him.

How profoundly evil does a person eye have to be to see a miracle like this one performed by Christ, and find evil in God's good works? Try if you will to wrap your mind around such unrighteous thinking, what possibly could possess a person so deeply that they would make a judgment against the Holy Spirit? Only one things which will shock legal minded Christian's, law!

There have been more evil(s) wrought behind laws of the bible in what God allows and does not allow than almost any other thing in the history of mankind. Can you imagine that this woman unbound from a sickness enraged these self-righteous lawyer of the law that if allowed would have killed Christ, and her on the spot! Now imagine again, they did kill both of them as evil in their hearts on the spot! Law creates wrath, and wrath can cause us to sin against holy blood, and such sinning against holy blood may will be the workings of God through the person, and our sinning against the Holy Spirit, with a zeal for a right or wrong against some bible commandment.

1 John 4:10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son as the atoning sacrifice{"atoning sacrifice" is from the Greek "hilasmos," an appeasing, propitiating, or the means of appeasement or propitiation--the sacrifice that turns away God's wrath because of our sin.} for our sins.

Romans 4:15 For the law works wrath, for where there is no law, neither is there disobedience.

Christ did a work on the Sabbath which was against the law of Moses, death was the only answer, for when one judges by law it bring evil upon the convicted. Subsequently, they returned evil for good, they judged a gift of God by a law for sinners. They than wanted vengeance upon the sinner against the law. They must exercise punishment or condone the sin.

Rom.8:4 that the ordinance of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 8:5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. 8:6 For the mind of the flesh is death, but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace; 8:7 because the mind of the flesh is hostile towards God; for it is not subject to God's law, neither indeed can it be.
8:8 Those who are in the flesh can't please God.

What had they missed? Christ was not judged by their laws, why? Laws are for sinner not the righteous, what is a truly righteous person to God? A sinless person. Christ was sinless, not under the law for sinners, but instead declared righteous by it. Those under the law desires too sin, but these unrighteous judges of the law judged all the same, thinking Christ was evil because they were, and wanted to sin. Christ must be stopped from breaking their laws controlled by laws for a sinner.

1 John 3:23 This is his commandment, that we should believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and love one another, even as he commanded.

Christ had no evil desires against God or His righteous laws, so what Christ practice was love for his Father which fulfilled all the laws, the same that Adam could have done but chose evil over good producing the the very sin these men judge Christ evil by!

Hebrews 9:14 how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
