1Cor.7:34 There is also a difference between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman cares about the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit. But she who is married cares about the things of the world--how she may please her husband.
Wisdom comes too us when we understand our limitations although we may fight against them by our beliefs, it does not matter truth will washes away the refuge of the lie. Paul states a truth here that a virgin in the Lord cares about the things of the Lord in both body and spirit. In other words, her headship is not divide between two headships like a married woman's are. A virgin has not had sexual intercourse creating in her the need for sex, as the married woman has, thus, she can control her body and spirit from lust better, not identifying with the need for sexual intimacy.
However, is Paul stating here a rule of law declaring one evil, and the other good? No! He is stating a truth, which means each person in the body of Christ should at least understand their own vessel by the light of Christ Jesus living in them and through them, why? Because when we walk in the light, which is by Spirit our fleshly desire are dead, when they are not dead, we are forced into judging them against Christ Jesus righteousness helping us see clearly what we stumble over. Subsequently, we understand truth of our fallen condition, needing help by God's Holy Spirit to come up into the law of love, and/or Christ.
John 11:9 Jesus answered, "Aren't there twelve hours of daylight? If a man walks in the day, he doesn't stumble, because he sees the light of this world.
1Cor.11:28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread, and drink of the cup. 11:29 For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, if he doesn't discern the Lord's body. 11:30 For this cause many among you are weak and sickly, and not a few sleep. 11:31 For if we discerned ourselves, we wouldn't be judged. 11:32 But when we are judged, we are punished by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world.
A wife pleasing her husband is not evil, it is a truth for which God created her for. She has not become evil, she simply exist divided in her flesh and spirit towards the Lords headship. Should Paul then create a new rule by laws of the flesh for virgins, demanding them not marry as some religions have done? Please understand the making of laws for sin creates more sin for those in the body of Christ freed from the flesh and its judgment. The body of Christ Jesus is set free from the flesh, and its laws, when it is brought under the laws of the flesh it cannot walk in the freedom of love by Spirit and truth, our truth is the life of Christ Jesus indwelling us. So no, Paul would not, and did not, created a rule of law to make a virgin stay single, if he did it would create yeast in the body of Christ producing sin and death. Let us remember Paul is not setting up new laws for the body of Christ he is on the other hand, he is dealing with people who are trying to do just that, and here he deals with those issues, without making them into a laws convicting sin, which are dead works, unlike so many modern day religion practice!
Rom.8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don't walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.{NU omits "who don't walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit"} 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and of death.
