MAIN TALK UNDERSTANDING GOD THE SCRIPTURES

Daily Bible Thought > John.15:6 - Branches Thown Into the Fire?

John15:6 If a man doesn't remain in me, he is thrown out as a branch, and is withered; and they gather them, throw them into the fire, and they are burned.

Jesus said many controversial things and this is one of them. Jesus stated that if a man looked at a woman with lust he had committed adultery with in his heart, he than stated the solution to that problem was to pluck out a person eye if they had a problem with lusting - looking at woman. Now if we didn't have the rest of the holy writing by Christ apostles people might actually pluck out their eye thinking it would stop the lust of their hearts!

Matt.5:29 If your right eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it away from you. For it is more profitable for you that one of your members should perish, than for your whole body to be cast into Gehenna.{or, Hell} 5:30 If your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off, and throw it away from you. For it is more profitable for you that one of your members should perish, than for your whole body to be cast into Gehenna.{or, Hell}

However, in context none of the apostles practices plucking out sinners eyes or cutting off their hands because such conduct does not change a man's heart. Instead we find kindness by the apostles teaching love, which does changes a person heart. We further have statements from the apostle Paul declaring no man every hated his own body but feeds and cherish it like Christ does his congregation. Subsequently, taking Christ words out of context to all the Holy Spirit led writings of his apostles will not help us understand Christ words above.

Many Jews rejected Christ whom were God's chosen people they were broke off of Israel like branches being rejected by a New Covenant replacing/fulfilling the Old law Covenant. Which allowed for Gentles to be grafted into the holy root stock of spiritual Israel, they reject God's love, in Christ Jesus.

Rom. 11:13 For I speak to you who are Gentiles. Since then as I am an apostle to Gentiles, I glorify my ministry; 11:14 if by any means I may provoke to jealousy those who are my flesh, and may save some of them. 11:15 For if the rejection of them is the reconciling of the world, what would their acceptance be, but life from the dead?
11:16 If the first fruit is holy, so is the lump. If the root is holy, so are the branches. 11:17 But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive, were grafted in among them, and became partaker with them of the root and of the richness of the olive tree;

In other words, they rejected faith in God's Son choosing instead the Old Law through Moses, which law was not able to produce the fruit of God's Holy Spirit needed to by being grafted into Christ, hence, born again by God's Holy Spirit as a branch and fruit upon the tree of life, Christ Jesus, who is the last Adam, but still their more to Christ Jesus words above.

Paul made it clear in his letter to a Gentile congregation of Corinthian's that each person works would be shown up in the day of judgment, if their work was of this tree/vine, a fruit of Christ Jesus life, or a work done by a person own flesh. Here is the point which gives us context to Christ words above: “the work not of Christ would be destroyed by fire, but the person doing the work, they would not, instead they would be saved, but as if by fire.

Furthermore, Paul later speaks in the same letter about the Lord's evening meal that a person eating it unworthy would come under judgment, but not with death in view, but life. Hence, in context with all the holy writings we see a clear picture of God's intention towards those chosen from the founding of the world, born again into the family of God, which proves in no way is their choosing haphazard as man choosing a person for a position, and it does not workout. God choosing is much more, eternal, Because He Himself creating the new born child before the founding of our world, God does not lose any of his children, but just as it is written lovingly disciplining them so their spirit may be saved into eternal life.

Rom. 8:33 Who could bring a charge against God's chosen ones? It is God who justifies. 8:34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, yes rather, who was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Could oppression, or anguish, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 8:36 Even as it is written, "For your sake we are killed all day long. We were accounted as sheep for the slaughter."{Psalm 44:22} 8:37 No, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 8:38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 8:39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
