MAIN TALK UNDERSTANDING GOD THE SCRIPTURES

Daily Bible Thought > John.15:11,12. The Commandment to Love?

John 15:11 I have spoken these things to you, that my joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be made full. 15:12 "This is my commandment, that you love one another, even as I have loved you.

All Christian's know that Christ is the foundation stone of our faith whom laid his life down for us, so we might have life. But often it ends there with a legal act, and a legal understanding of Christ sacrifice. When Christ laid his life down for us that we might live and have joy it is much more than paper and pen, its more than a doctrine of faith found in a religion, it means Christ not only gave his physical life for us, but lives in us!

1 Peter 1:23 having been born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, through the word of God, which lives and remains forever.

1 Corinthians 3:16 Don't you know that you are a temple of God, and that God's Spirit lives in you?

John 5:20 We know that the Son of God has come, and has given us an understanding, that we know him who is true, and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

Every thing written above by the apostle John in this part of his letter speaks to that exact point. Christ did not leave us alone, he did not say have joy, by legal definition, no! He gave us his living imperishable life including the fruit of joy, peace, and love. What commandment does your own body give the hand, foot, the heart, or the eyes? Can you audibly speak that commandment? Does writing it down on paper reading it out loud or reading from your bible make your body members obey your commandments, upon speaking such written communication?

1John 5:12 He who has the Son has the life. He who doesn't have God's Son doesn't have the life.

Colossians 3:4 When Christ, our life, is revealed, then you will also be revealed with him in glory.

Colossians 3:3 For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

How foolish the mechanical legal mind becomes when digesting God's words reducing it down into physical commandments given by men in power over them by a religious body formed through laws of land. Shocking, a person one would believe that no man every hated his own body, but feeds and cherishes than compare the body of Christ with the harsh treatment of men in power using legal commendments to beat a slave into subject?

If we are to be in Christ, belonging to his body, than we must come up to a much higher standard of love than mankind dictating fleshly laws for convicting and punishing the flesh for its evils. We don't have flesh, we have the life of Christ Jesus indwelling us, and that life is a spirit-life, and it is eternal life, which we received when we can get away from the mundane works of law Christian's religion practice in the name of Christ Jesus.

Galatians 6:8 For he who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption. But he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.

Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I that live, but Christ living in me. That life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself up for me.
