Heb.6:4 For concerning those who were once enlightened and tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Spirit, 6:5 and tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the age to come, 6:6 and then fell away, it is impossible to renew them again to repentance; seeing they crucify the Son of God for themselves again, and put him to open shame.
Legal minded Christian's so abuse Paul's words here that the entire meaning it is lost to works of law in legalism. They not thinking at all they are legalistic when judging by their religious laws. No! They believe once a person is enlightened by their religion and truns away they are crucifying the Christ openly too shame. When in fact, the only shame is upon their man made religious organization, not the Christ, at all!
John 19:6 When therefore the chief priests and the officers saw him, they shouted, saying, "Crucify! Crucify!" Pilate said to them, "Take him yourselves, and crucify him, for I find no basis for a charge against him."
The apostle Paul here was speaking in a letter to the Hebrews not a legal document set up to defended in a court of law mankind's injustices. The issue at hand, and in most of the Greek writings was legalism by Jews trying to enslave the Christian's congregation into the Old Law. But as Paul explains how could one impale the Christ again? He died once for all times, one precious life, one lamb of God putting away the judgment of our flesh, what? Yes, our flesh representing our sins under the law, which laws are created for convicting us of sin, our flesh now dead in Christ, why? Because there exist no law to judge us if the flesh is dead, the sinful flesh paid the price for sinning, death, death in this case in Christ Jesus life.
Romans 3:20 Because by the works of the law, no flesh will be justified in his sight. For through the law comes the knowledge of sin.
Romans 7:5 For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were through the law, worked in our members to bring forth fruit to death.
Romans 8:3 For what the law couldn't do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God did, sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh.
Romans 7:4 Therefore, my brothers, you also were made dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you would be joined to another, to him who was raised from the dead, that we might bring forth fruit to God.
Now those that have tasted this gift of freedom from judgment, in the body of Christ, could not impale Christ again, they could not go back to animal blood and atone for their sins, where would they go for such freedom? What unrighteous people allows for freedom of judgment anywhere upon earth, none! No court of law in any land is going to pass-over our deserved judgment when we violated the law of the land. Where indeed would these brothers and sister go, if they went back to works of law, which proved they were unrighteous and sinners?
James 2:12 So speak, and so do, as men who are to be judged by a law of freedom.
Galatians 5:13 For you, brothers, were called for freedom. Only don't use your freedom for gain to the flesh, but through love be servants to one another.
No Christian's should be fooled in this serious matter of Christ precious blood pour out for our sins, we are not here talking about killing Christ over and over again each time we sin, do you really understand this? Such unrighteous conduct is repentance from dead works, such conduct is practice by false religion when sinning against their rules and laws, but it has nothing to do with Christ precious life given us freely.
Hebrews 7:27 who doesn't need, like those high priests, to offer up sacrifices daily, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people. For he did this once for all, when he offered up himself.
Hebrews 9:26 or else he must have suffered often since the foundation of the world. But now once at the end of the ages, he has been revealed to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.
Christ put away our sins, once for all times, because he removed the thing causing us too sin the law, where there no law neither is there sin accounted against us. Yes, we still sin, but its removed by Christ fulfilling the laws of sin for us. That removal is once for all times, its good, sealed in the blood of Christ, God is not going reopen an old contract fulfilled, and completed so we as a Christian's can live by works of law.
Romans 5:13 For until the law, sin was in the world; but sin is not charged when there is no law.
Romans 6:14 For sin will not have dominion over you. For you are not under law, but under grace.
Romans 6:7 For he who has died has been freed from sin.
Romans 6:10 For the death that he died, he died to sin one time; but the life that he lives, he lives to God.
Romans 6:11 Thus consider yourselves also to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
