MAIN TALK UNDERSTANDING GOD THE SCRIPTURES

Daily Bible Thought > 1Cor.9:12 - Why Not Uses a Right?

1Cor.9:12 If others partake of this right over you, don't we yet more? Nevertheless we did not use this right, but we bear all things, that we may cause no hindrance to the Good News of Christ.

God/YHWH makes it rain upon the righteous and the unrighteous, He does not become bitter when ones do not acknowledge Him as a good and generous God, but why? Each one of us professing Christianity need to consider that question? We have most profound simply answer, do you know what it is? Love, love does not seek its own interest, love does not make someone have appreciation for them, it can't, why? Because perfect love, that is, God's own love is freely given.

Matthew 5:45 that you may be children of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust.

1 Corinthians 2:12 But we received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is from God, that we might know the things that were freely given to us by God.

Now we know false religion in its best attempts to bottle and package God's love, who would have us believe God makes us feel guilty for His love, but that is a lie! This very thinking was permeating the Corinthian's congregation Paul was speaking to here. They had not passed beyond the primary doctrines of Christ, out of works of laws, repentance from dead works into perfection, into what perfection? The love of God, and for brother and sisters, instead they were being enslaved to guilt to gain love, just like the world uses on all levels.

Revelation 22:17 The Spirit and the bride say, "Come!" He who hears, let him say, "Come!" He who is thirsty, let him come. He who desires, let him take the water of life freely.
1 John 4:20 If a man says, "I love God," and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who doesn't love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?

1 John 3:17 But whoever has the world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and closes his heart of compassion against him, how does the love of God remain in him?

1 John 3:18 My little children, let's not love in word only, neither with the tongue only, but in deed and truth.

The apostle Paul used none of these means to get them too give, God uses none of these underhanded tactics to enslave our conscience too guilt so we serve him, no! That is the works of men, unrighteous men enslaving other for what purpose? Power, control, position, and wealth. Unfortunately, these fleshly minded Christian's were happily being enslaved to teachers in Corinthian's to curry favor with them, be recognized by them, drop names, and so on. . . just like the world.

John 10:10 The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.

Hebrews 13:5 Be free from the love of money, content with such things as you have, for he has said, "I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you."{Deuteronomy 31:6}

So why did Paul bring it up, simply put, false teaching must be corrected, but what Paul did not do was toss these men out as wicked, nor did he slander their names or created a new law forbidding such conduct, but why? Because love gives freely, and if we love God, will give to other freely, guilt is an obligation that falls for short of perfect love. Paul hoped each person within the Corinthian congregation would come to perfect love and show appreciation for God's work that he was doing among them.

2 Corinthians 9:7 Let each man give according as he has determined in his heart; not grudgingly, or under compulsion; for God loves a cheerful giver.
