MAIN TALK UNDERSTANDING GOD THE SCRIPTURES

Daily Bible Thought > Matt.7:3 - Speck In Your Eye or Beam?

Matt.7:3 Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but don't consider the beam that is in your own eye?

Most of us if were honest see the beam in others eyes, and think we have a little speak in our own eye, but not according to Christ Jesus, why? Lets put it this way, if we judge others by laws created to kill us, than we truly do have a beam in our own eye. In other words, judging death from death equals death! Many Christian's read Christ words here and simply don't get them, thinking: “I know I am better than that person, I know I am better than that hypocrite who says they are a Christian's!”

Romans 2:1 Therefore you are without excuse, O man, whoever you are who judge. For in that which you judge another, you condemn yourself. For you who judge practice the same things.

1 John 3:14 We know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brothers. He who doesn't love his brother remains in death.

But unwittingly, we have judged from death, too death, or sins of another, which means the measure of death we measure out brings us the same death back; stop judging, as Christ puts it! Here than is the context of Christ Jesus words. The law did not judge a person into life, Christ was the only person to every be judged into life by the law. Hence, completing that which none of us could do for ourselves, so what is the point in judging by a (law) none of us could keep in the first place? Which is like pointing one finger at someone having three times the amount of judgment pointing back at us. Soon after Christ words here, he would be put too death for our sins, raised into heaven removing our deserved judgments of our sins, giving us a new law, a new life.

Romans 7:5 For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were through the law, worked in our members to bring forth fruit to death.

Romans 7:10 The commandment, which was for life, this I found to be for death;

Now if we judge by this new covenant, which created our new person, we only measure out life too other and life back to ourselves an interchange of encouragement, but what life are we talking about here? The life of Christ, freeing us from deaths judgment. So lets reason together, no human could give themselves life, because we are all sinners, God proved we were sinner by giving us His perfect law, which could not declare us righteous being perfect, but instead declared a sinners.

Romans 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and of death.

We all need salvation from our deserved death judgment, by the law for sin, not Spirit. Christ steps in pays the price of our sins, redeems us, hence, purchases our lives, not our sinful flesh, but our eternal life, spirit life, lost by Adam.

Romans 8:13 For if you live after the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

James 4:11 Don't speak against one another, brothers. He who speaks against a brother and judges his brother, speaks against the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law, but a judge.

Now what if we return to judging sinful flesh by laws Christ completed for us, saying: “look at my flesh, it more perfect than your flesh”! Which is judging from death to death, but why? Because our sinful flesh is dead in Christ, its judgment no longer exist because when one died in Christ the judgment of what is dead has paid the ultimate price of death for sin, which is our sinful flesh!

Now to further bring Christ word into context, the apostle Peter under Holy Spirit tells us the truth of our own flesh, helping us understand why when we judge by flesh, its of no purpose at all, it cannot do anything, but produce more death. So in context when Christ says stop judging, he is speaking about judging by a law of sin dead in Christ, so which law are we to judge by is the question?

1 Peter 3:21 This is a symbol of baptism, which now saves you--not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Hence, judging the filth of some else flesh, is judging the filth of our own flesh, which flesh should be dead, nonexistence in Christ, so what have we proven? We have proven that which has long ago been proven that we are all sinners, in death, having spiritual uncleanness before God. Now if we measure this out to others what good can come from a death sentence completed by Christ life? Nothing, not unless we like beating a dead horse?

Romans 8:8 Those who are in the flesh can't please God.

Romans 8:12 So then, brothers, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.

James 2:12 So speak, and so do, as men who are to be judged by a law of freedom.
