MAIN TALK UNDERSTANDING GOD THE SCRIPTURES

Daily Bible Thought > Matt.7:4,5. Beam in The Eye!

Matt.7:4 Or how will you tell your brother, 'Let me remove the speck from your eye;' and behold, the beam is in your own eye? 7:5 You hypocrite! First remove the beam out of your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck out of your brother's eye.

Have you every notice human nature, we just can't help ourselves always wanting to correct the other person, digging if you will at some ones fault having no happiness until the person changes. A person becomes reformed from some bad habit, and then off they go on a campaign to change the world! However, Christ says this conduct is hypocritical, but why?

Psalms 49:7 none of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give God a ransom for him.

Because God does not reform our fallen flesh under sin, did you every notice that? After thousand's of year of God's laws pointing up that all of us are hypocrites when it comes to judging sins of others, Christ comes and puts our sinful flesh to death in his life giving us a new life, where we walk no longer by the flesh, but Spirit in Christ, did you catch that point?

Romans 6:4 We were buried therefore with him through baptism to death, that just like Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life.

Romans 6:9 knowing that Christ, being raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no more has dominion over him!

Romans 6:11 Thus consider yourselves also to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

If the flesh cannot be reformed by judgment than whats the point of judging something that's already dead in God's eyes with more judgment? There is no point unless your a fleshly person hating the speck in your brothers eye, having a death beam of sin in your own eye. In other words, if a Jew judging a Jew by a law that declares them both sinners, which means, when translated, being dead in God's eyes, and God does not give them a better place to go for salvation from their sins, whats the point accept in hating their brother?

1 John 3:12 unlike Cain, who was of the evil one, and killed his brother. Why did he kill him? Because his works were evil, and his brother's righteous.

If Christian's cannot get above mundane judgment of each other by commandments, rules, laws, religion, and/or their bibles, what's the point? The only truth they've uncovered in themselves and others is sin, sin they have without Christ, and sin they judge in the others. You see if the nature of the sinful flesh is judgment, and the nature of the God's Spirit in His new creation, Christ, says stop judging, which is the truth of our sin?

Romans 8:7 because the mind of the flesh is hostile towards God; for it is not subject to God's law, neither indeed can it be.

Rom. 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don't walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.{NU omits "who don't walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit"} 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and of death.

8:3 For what the law couldn't do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God did, sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh;

If a person finds a dead man with a beam in his eye, could the dead man remove the beam? Now that's the point, all of us must consider, and if we answer no to that question? Than we might think who did removed that beam, and if we know that answer, why do we look at the speck in our brothers eye?

James 4:11 Don't speak against one another, brothers. He who speaks against a brother and judges his brother, speaks against the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law, but a judge. 4:12 Only one is the lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy. But who are you to judge another?
