1Cor.9:16 For if I preach the Good News, I have nothing to boast about; for necessity is laid on me; but woe is to me, if I don't preach the Good News. 9:17 For if I do this of my own will, I have a reward. But if not of my own will, I have a stewardship entrusted to me.

These words of Paul have been used by unrighteous men to make a rules or laws to force, and/or coercer members of their religion into preaching the Good News, what a contradiction in terms! However, such mundane fleshly obligation of working for a religion is not what Paul was referring to here.

Romans 3:20 Because by the works of the law, no flesh will be justified in his sight. For through the law comes the knowledge of sin.

In context to all the holy writings, in this case the Christian's Greek scriptures, Christian's no longer have a sinful flesh in Christ Jesus. Subsequently, they don't have a personal will their being in the body of Christ Jesus. Hence, they are doing the will of God through the head of the body directed by spirit, which they are members in. Their personal will is dead in Christ, being a new person in Christ. Now this is the context of Paul's words here, whom enlightened us by his many writings, which writings back what was just stated herein.

Romans 14:8 For if we live, we live to the Lord. Or if we die, we die to the Lord. If therefore we live or die, we are the Lord's.

Romans 8:13 For if you live after the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

Romans 6:8 But if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him.

Having this context we understand the letter of Corinthian's is written to a fleshly congregation forgetting the point of whom they were anointed to live for? So Paul is shutting the mouth of those whom are teaching that preaching is a work of law, which gain a person a standing with God. If we are dead in Christ being purchased by his blood, than we do not own ourselves, nor our possession, and certainly not our service in the Lord. We are factually created for God's purposes for the service of other body members. We are not the head of the body, we are a slave within the body of Christ righteously following the direction of our head to minister too those Christ directs us too.

2 Corinthians 4:11 For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus may be revealed in our mortal flesh.

2 Corinthians 5:15 He died for all, that those who live should no longer live to themselves, but to him who for their sakes died and rose again.

So if these fleshly minded Christian's wanted to preach through the power of their fleshly mind, doing so was no problem, their judgment was paid for by Christ, removed and abolished; than be at preaching! However, if they did not use their will, remaining in Christ under his will this would only proved they have a stewardship entrusted too them as a members of Christ Jesus body.

Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I that live, but Christ living in me. That life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself up for me.

Subsequently, the problem with religion and its fleshly thinking, which is a legalistic believing in works of law; Paul informed these judgmental Christian's whom was using the preaching as a spring board to judge their brothers and sisters. God had no judgment in the matter because he was not fooled, He created his children for a purpose, and they would do the work he created them for just like a good fruit tree, it has a purpose, rules, and law written in our bibles will not make a good fruit tree produce fruit, because that is it truth, its life, its created purpose, nor will words of our bibles make a corrupt tree produce good fruit!

2 Timothy 2:11 This saying is faithful: "For if we died with him, we will also live with him.

1Cor.4:1 So let a man think of us as Christ's servants, and stewards of God's mysteries. 4:2 Here, moreover, it is required of stewards, that they be found faithful. 4:3 But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged by you, or by man's judgment. Yes, I don't judge my own self. 4:4 For I know nothing against myself. Yet I am not justified by this, but he who judges me is the Lord. 4:5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and reveal the counsels of the hearts. Then each man will get his praise from God.
