Matt.7:6 "Don't give that which is holy to the dogs, neither throw your pearls before the pigs, lest perhaps they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.
The overseer for the body members of Christ is peace, but not a peace of this world, but a peace from God's Holy Spirit that excels of human thought. Many Christian's don't understand the vast difference between peace found in the flesh and the peace of God, do you? Here Jesus pointedly makes a distinction between the two, those without discernment would be tore to pieces spiritually, left damaged.
John 14:27 Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Don't let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful.
John 16:33 I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have oppression; but cheer up! I have overcome the world."

We must understand the flesh has a pattern, and that pattern does not change, the sinful flesh according to God's word is not reformable, it is put to death! God starts fresh with us, a new life, a new birth into a spirit person by giving us the life of Christ Jesus indwelling us. The pattern of the flesh is law, legalism, because it cannot know the spirit things of the new creation. Subsequently, the flesh is against the spirit and will attack it, like a dog. Dogs are very protective animals, once a dog claims its territory everything in that territory he will fearless defend as his.
Galatians 6:8 For he who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption. But he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.
Galatians 5:17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, that you may not do the things that you desire.
Galatians 4:29 But as then, he who was born according to the flesh persecuted him who was born according to the Spirit, so also it is now.
The distinction between the spirit and flesh is a vast chasm, the spirit sets free, and flesh takes possession of and demands rights, the spirit gives and adds freely to others lives. Whereas, the flesh steal God's word enslaves others to it, and attacks, competes with other flesh for superiority.
Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I that live, but Christ living in me. That life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself up for me.
2 Corinthians 5:16 Therefore we know no one after the flesh from now on. Even though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now we know him so no more.
Where a son of God takes the precious gift of Holy Spirit the fine pearl of the kingdom putting it into a flesh organization he/she will be damaged by unreasoning animals that are practicing what they were created to do. The son of God must remember he/she has the mind of Christ, and the ability to reason with God's wisdom by Holy Spirit, it is encumbered upon them to make proper choices and not to expect change from what cannot change the flesh. This than is the context of Christ words here, in the future his followers would be born again and the Jewish system of things would attack and destroy many of them being they were a legalistic society, that is, heavy in the flesh, dead to the peace of the Holy Spirit.
1 Corinthians 6:16 Or don't you know that he who is joined to a prostitute is one body? For, "The two," says he, "will become one flesh."{Genesis 2:24}
Romans 8:7 because the mind of the flesh is hostile towards God; for it is not subject to God's law, neither indeed can it be. 8:8 Those who are in the flesh can't please God.
James.3:12 Can a fig tree, my brothers, yield olives, or a vine figs? Thus no spring yields both salt water and fresh water. 3:13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by his good conduct that his deeds are done in gentleness of wisdom.
