MAIN TALK UNDERSTANDING GOD THE SCRIPTURES

Daily Bible Thought > Matt.7:7,8. - Seek and Knock?

Matt.7:7 "Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. 7:8 For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened.

Can another person seek, and knock for you to find the truth? No! But there are many today whom think a religious organization can for them. Not only will they defend so called truth's of a group, they will condemn others over such religiously held truth's. It is important to understand individually we must never stop seeking and knocking for truth, but why?

Matthew 6:22 "The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is sound, your whole body will be full of light.

1 Corinthians 12:17 If the whole body were an eye, where would the hearing be? If the whole were hearing, where would the smelling be?

It is because Christ is our truth, he is our life, and as such, truth becomes truth when we conform to his life daily in every possible substitution our evil flesh places us in. We commune with Christ by our spirit this intercourse saves us daily. In others words, truth is not a written doctrine, or a bible, or a book, not even this written information here. It is Christ Jesus our life, a living truth bearing witness in us. Written words help us seek and knock to commune with God's Spirit so we may feed upon the living bread of our own life and body Christ Jesus.

Luke 10:21 In that same hour Jesus rejoiced in the Holy Spirit, and said, "I thank you, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for so it was well-pleasing in your sight."

Christian's must understand, we are never a lone, we need not constant dependency upon a bible, a group, or even a person, our truth is as closes as our hearts where God finger intimately has written His love, Christ Jesus. Let us mature in truth, many have become absolutely dependent upon some one feeding them spoon after spoon of biblical information, only to be sorely disappointed in not understanding each one of us must stand on our own two feet and seek the kingdom. We must go beyond things written into seeking our relationship with Christ despite the best intention of men/woman to encourage us. We cannot shirk our spiritual responsibility and live vicariously off of someone else seeking and knocking written down for us.

1 John 2:27 As for you, the anointing which you received from him remains in you, and you don't need for anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is no lie, and even as it taught you, you will remain in him.

Let us remember there is no new light, there is light, Christ Jesus and we apart of him. Such myth's only enslave Christian's to men/woman wanting prominence in the flesh as rulers of our faith. Such fleshly thinking, and written word can lead us, but it cannot seek or knock for us, because we individually must come to love God, through Christ, the Truth, indwelling us.

1 John 4:6 We are of God. He who knows God listens to us. He who is not of God doesn't listen to us. By this we know the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

1 John 5:6 This is he who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ; not with the water only, but with the water and the blood. It is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth.
