Matt.7:15 "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves.
There has always been false prophets, Christian's, though often live in fear of false prophets spending hours and great efforts in trying to identify whom is or isn't a false prophet? Satan the Devil was the first false prophet, leading the first human couple away from the source of life God/YHWH. Revelation 16:13 I saw coming out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits, something like frogs.
Here Christ speaks about false prophets and ties the subject to two trees, and the fruitage upon these two trees. What are we to make of the statements of Christ? First, remembering, Christ speaks of numerous things within this part of Matthew, judging, prayers, narrow gates, and now false prophets, but are they connected? Yes, Christ is ultimately saying what the Jew's and his disciples have been taught about God, and practiced, as the truth, is wrong!
John 8:45 But because I tell the truth, you don't believe me. Which of you convicts me of sin? If I tell the truth, why do you not believe me?
Judging does not work, believing God is evil, and will not give his children good gifts when asking him is wrong. The Jews thinking they are saved by association with Israel is wrong, only a few, a remnant will be saved by faith. Now the question remains, if they are wrong on these points how would they know a false prophet? In other words, if you thinking and teachings about God as His authority and you are incorrect on these points how would a person know if someone was false or true, correct?
Today many Christian's make the same mistake, while their very fundamental teachings about God and Christ are wrong, but they like the hype, and the excitement, if you will, the evil conspiracy theory about a false prophet misleading the whole world, not realizing that has already happen, and is still happening while we speak. Satan the Devil has mislead this world, and all that has been planted by the human race is corrupt fruit that cannot bring a person eternal life. God is not of this world or the things in this world.
Revelation 12:9 The great dragon was thrown down, the old serpent, he who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world. He was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.
1 John 5:19 We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.
Christ is the one true prophet, the one tree without corrupt fruit(sin), the one tree having good fruit all the time with no bad fruit of sin and corruption. Every other institution of mankind has never produced fruit that will give us eternal life, without sin! They have produced fruits of sin substituted them for the real Kingdom of God without sin. Hence, as false prophets. What does a false prophet do? They mislead a person away from the tree of life, just as Satan the Devil did in the Garden of Eden, there are not many trees of life, nor many source of life, just one.
James 3:12 Can a fig tree, my brothers, yield olives, or a vine figs? Thus no spring yields both salt water and fresh water.
Subsequently, a good tree, one tree Christ Jesus cannot produce corrupt fruit. And a corrupt tree, no matter how many words from God's word the bible by an institution, a person, place or thing it will not produce good fruit, that is, without sin, like the everlasting life coming from Christ Jesus our source of life without sin. Christ in his words moves everything away from the myopic view of the Jewish faith, and the myopic view of most Christian's religious group today into a universal issue of; if we don't find the tree of life, we are mislead no matter our very best intention, because we individually have to be connected too the good tree by God's Holy Spirit, or we our part of this world producing corrupted fruit (sin) unwittingly calling it good fruit deceiving ourselves and others, in the name of Christ, religions, publication, or what ever else we produce from sin.
1 John 5:4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world: your faith. 5:5 Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
John 15:1 "I am the true vine, and my Father is the farmer. 15:2 Every branch in me that doesn't bear fruit, he takes away. Every branch that bears fruit, he prunes, that it may bear more fruit. 15:3 You are already pruned clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. 15:4 Remain in me, and I in you. As the branch can't bear fruit by itself, unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you, unless you remain in me.
