MAIN TALK UNDERSTANDING GOD THE SCRIPTURES

Daily Bible Thought > John.3:4,5. A Weak Thing of God?

John,3:4 Nicodemus said to him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb, and be born?" 3:5 Jesus answered, "Most certainly I tell you, unless one is born of water and spirit, he can't enter into the Kingdom of God!

Nicodemus faced a shocking truth, the same truth that has been over looked by so many fleshly minded Christian's how can you know God, if your not born again? Nicodemus was a teacher of God's law, but was he a teacher of God's personality, love? How did Nicodemus know God through his understanding of the law? Now stop and think about that statement, the law was created for who?

1Cor.2:13 Which things also we speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual things. 2:14 Now the natural man doesn't receive the things of God's Spirit, for they are foolishness to him, and he can't know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

1Tim. 1:9 as knowing this, that law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, 1:10 for the sexually immoral, for homosexuals, for slave-traders, for liars, for perjurers, and for any other thing contrary to the sound doctrine.

It was indeed righteous and good, but it was nevertheless created for the unrighteous and wicked, not the righteous. Can an unrighteous person truly know God as Adam did before sinning?, Can they commune with God's righteous Holy Spirit as Adam did in the Garden of Eden? Such is the problem with the legalistic mind because it reads God's laws it assumes to know God, and than judges brother and sisters by law for death.

Matt.7:1 "Don't judge, so that you won't be judged.
7:2 For with whatever judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with whatever measure you measure, it will be measured to you. 7:3 Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but don't consider the beam that is in your own eye? 7:4 Or how will you tell your brother, 'Let me remove the speck from your eye;' and behold, the beam is in your own eye?

Here Nicodemus was confronted with something he could not understand by Christ, why could he not understand it? Simply because this point was out of his control. You see, the law controlled everything into a convenient package for Nicodemus, but one cannot born again themselves by law, it not in their control! So the legal mind hates the thought, because it believes it owns God, by its definition of legal truth. However, Nicodemus was a teacher a powerful position in Israel and should have known nothing within God's law was under flesh control it was not man's law it was God's law, and that law condemned every human as a sinner, leaving forgiveness up to God, by blood of innocent victim, out of human control.

One could not be under a law for sin and be born again into the kingdom of God. How shocking and hopeless Christ words are for many that live by laws of a religion, where can they go to work their way into heaven? How can they prove by laws that only condemns them they are good enough to entire into heaven? Here than is the power of undeserved kindness which the legal minded person hates as an weakness, but a weak thing of God is greater than men.

Romans 5:6 For while we were yet weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.

Romans 8:3 For what the law couldn't do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God did, sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh.

1 Corinthians 1:27 but God chose the foolish things of the world that he might put to shame those who are wise. God chose the weak things of the world, that he might put to shame the things that are strong;
